I hope you all enjoyed our “Day in the Life” series, I always enjoy reading those posts and picking up tricks from other bloggers. Today I am back with a Friday Favorites post–I am calling this the “early Fall edition”. We are in September now so it’s safe to get into the fall spirit, even if it’s still 90 degrees outside!
I have been looking at Fall decor this week and even *cough* holiday decor because I have a November 1st deadline for a holiday post. Things happen earlier and earlier, don’t they? Here are some of the fun things I have found, as always most are on sale.
I have had my eye on this stool for our bathroom for quite a while, this is the best price I have seen it. I ordered the faux linen color at $99 (free shipping) but the darker one is just $69–such a steal! It has already sold out once, so act fast if you are interested. Two of these would look great in your living room, under a console table, or like I am hoping to use it at the make up station in a bathroom.
I love this fringe pillow, the texture on it adds so much interest, it would be perfect mixed with other fall pillows. It is less than $20.
When Nordstrom started their summer sale I treated myself to another pair of pajamas, I truly love the ones I have so much but they are summer pjs. These are perfect for this in-between season and come in three colors including a pretty floral. At just $32 you can’t beat the price, and the Nordstrom ones are super soft.
I also ordered these jeans, fall always calls for a new pair of jeans I think :). I have wanted to give a pair of high-waisted, button-fly jeans a try and these fit the bill nicely. They are mid-priced I’d say, but are a good deal during the sale and of course, Madewell is a great brand.
I envision this stoneware crock filled with sunflowers at this time of year (then utensils later on if you like), it’s just $12.99 and it comes in sage green too.
Another cute find–these floral laundry baskets with bamboo edging! If you must do laundry you might as well make it fun, right? I think I might decorate my entire laundry room around these! Less than $15, and I think these will go fast.
Speaking of items that go fast, this gold floral mirror is rarely in stock but it is available at the time of posting. I have tried and tried to find a place in my daughter’s room for this, it’s just the cutest thing and less than $40. It would be a nice touch in a closet or hallway too.
The faux florals are coming out in abundance and these are some of the prettiest ones I have seen. I like that this is a set of three different stems so it is an instant arrangement. I’d think two of these bundles in a small vase (or the crock above!) would make the perfect little fall arrangement.
At just $4 these little hand towels are perfect for a fall powder room update (or a hostess gift), they are Hearth & Hand, so thank you Joanna Gaines to continuing to create affordable and cute things for us!
Christy showed you this chair in her post this week, and I have to say I can’t get it out of my mind. At just $259 the black and white stripes are so chic. I am thinking of redecorating my bedroom around it, but two by a fireplace with some fur pillows would be a nice touch this winter. I can’t wait to see how she styles hers!
Moving on to fall accessories, I am in need of a new bag. Bags are my weakness, I’m far more likely to invest in a bag than jewelry or a pair of shoes, that is just how I am wired. I am strongly considering this Rebecca Minkoff bag, it’s 50% off and comes in three colors (including a suede) and I really like the hobo styling. I also feel like it’s not too big and not too small, which is always important #goldilocks
I have this tote in gold and use it all the time in the summer to carry my laptop or for travel. I just realized this cognac version is slightly smaller and could function more as a day to day bag. It is also reversible, there is a black version too. This would be a great work tote, briefcase or even day to day. It’s less than $50 and even has an attached wristlet to hold a wallet.
If you are ready to think about fall sweaters here are two that caught my eye. First off, the swing poncho above is a style that works for every body type thanks to its flowy fit. Pair this with black jeans or leggings and boots and you have your go-to Fall outfit complete! It’s 40% off today too.
I bought last year’s version of this sleeveless striped cardigan and it was one of my favorite items. It works great as a transitional top, just add a long sleeve shirt under it when it gets cooler. These colors will pair perfectly with jeans, another easy fall outfit!
One more favorite to share–If you drink wine but not the whole bottle in one sitting (and if you do case maybe we should have a differnet conversation!) I have mentioned these RePour stoppers before but they are worth every penny. They keep a bottle of wine good for days after you open it. I consider them something that pays for themselves as I no longer dump half full bottles of wine that have spoiled. They are single use unfortunately, but they are pretty less than $2 so worth it to save a good bottle of wine.

Have you ever tried a Vacuvin for open bottles of wine? The pump with one stopper is $10; two additional stoppers are $5. Worth every penny, and the stoppers are reusable.

I purchased the opalhouse mirror from Target when it first came out. It arrived totally shattered and I was so upset but I notified Target and it was replaced in 3 days! They told me to toss the broken one so I didn’t even have to take it to the local store. Great customer service and this mirror is so beautiful..but heavy!! I had it professionally hung because I was worried it wouldn’t hold. Great value!
