Happy Friday! Today we have our Friday collection of fun things we’ve worn, seen or just feel like we need to share. Today’s post is a little random (though really, aren’t they all?) because I am just back from our trip to the Biltmore in North Carolina and I am suffering a bit of a travel hangover–it’s hard to get back to carpools, packing lunches, and piles of laundry after getting spoiled by our friends at The Biltmore and Balsam Hill and of course, the best part– getting to hang out with Christy for a few days. We’ll have a post all about our trip up soon.

We definitely have turned the corner from summer to fall here in Virginia, so it has been nice to retire my warm weather clothes (I was so very tired of them!) and pull out fun fall things like vests, scarves, and boots. My first find for today is this black quilted vest, which I just might have worn four out of the last five days! What I love about it is that it can be dressed up or down, and it’s great for these transitional weather days. I wear it with some sort of stripes and jeans to run errands but have also dressed it down with these amazing leggings, a tee and sneakers for a super casual look. This vest is SO affordable and the quality on it is surprisingly good.

Traditional camo is a hot pattern for fall (funny how it comes back every few years?) but I love these pants. I think they are a little bit more fun than just jeans, but perfect for casual days. I am not wearing this outfit today only because I simply must give the black vest a rest, but look how cute it all is together! This outfit is on sale for 30% off today too 🙂 making the jeans just $20.

Same pants, but a little more of a dressed up look. This eyelet sweater has been one of my very favorite fall purchases and it goes with everything (and everywhere), they just added this (similar) pretty sweater here and it is just $29.50 right now. More fall sweaters are 40% off HERE.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of both of us from last week at The Inn at the Biltmore with our tree that we decorated with Balsam Hill, (the tree isn’t staying in this location, some of you have commented on social media that it is a little small for the large window). I finally got a chance to wear my new Fall boots down there, they are so comfortable! Yes, some of you may notice that I just had three inches chopped off my hair–which was about twice as much as I was expecting! It is always fun to have a new look though 🙂 I feel like pretty blouses are really having a moment this fall.  You can pair a blouse with jeans and boots and have an easy, versatile outfit. I rounded up some of my favorites (the Loft ones are on sale for 40% off FYI) in the widget below. I wore this one at the Biltmore (above) and it’s one of my favorites.

I had to do a pivot back to fall decor once I returned from the Biltmore, though one of the recurring conversations we had with all the other bloggers there was that it is almost time to start decorating for the holidays–for bloggers. We always run a bit ahead, and the holiday season is as we say, the “superbowl” of decorating in this industry so it’s easy to get excited about what is to come. I won’t jump into holiday related favorites yet (though we are sharing gift ideas on Instagram and Facebook already to help get you started, and of course we have The Holiday Planner) instead I’ll share this white pumpkin collection which for $10 plus shipping is a fabulous deal.

Finally, in my ongoing quest to eliminate toxins from my system I recently switched to this Zoya nail polish remover. I wasn’t expecting that it would actually work better than the generic drugstore brand since it has fewer chemicals but it absolutely does. It makes taking off nail polish a breeze (something I kind of dislike doing) and has an easy to use pump at the top. The dark brown shade shown  is my go-to for Fall!

I hope you all have a fun weekend, we’ll be back on Sunday with more about our adventure at the Biltmore.  In the meantime, don’t forget you can enter to win a HomeRight Finishmax sprayer HERE. Also–don’t forget to download your free holiday planner HERE. XO,

Where did the black vest come from? When I clicked on the link in your post all I got was the Google home page, and I have been looking for a black vest like that for a couple of weeks. Thanks!

  2. I LOVE the OPI nail polish- I bought it after you showed it last year and have received many compliments on it!
