OK, so in last week’s Friday Favorite Finds Christy focused on all things warm and cozy and since that is about the mood January has me in, we’ll just go with that theme this week will as well!

First, thanks for the kind comments about our move in my last post. I am writing up the follow-up post about the house we are building and will have that up in a few days. As some of you kindly noted in your comments, it really was a really busy month for us! I found now that we’re semi-settled in our rental, I need time to mentally recover from all the madness. To do that, I have spent entirely too much time this week looking online at warm winter sweaters to possibly add to my closet, drinking multiple cups of tea and browsing Amazon for new books to read; just generally trying to keep myself out of the winter funk that sets in at this time of the year. Based on what I have seen on social media, I am not the only one feeling like it’s been hard to get back in the swing after the holidays.
So here are some of my favorite finds out there right now, hopefully some of these will tide you over until spring comes your way.
I am all about turtlenecks to stay warm at this time of year, and this one is very fun (and it looks cozy too!), it’s on sale. Anthro is having a winter tag sale right now, this is just one of the winter things you can scoop up for a discount. Be sure to check out their home sale section here, this gorgeous ruffle duvet is less than $100 for a queen {note that the discount appears at checkout), such a total steal for Anthropologie bedding.
The Easy Circle Cardigan is still on sale (though going fast) for less than $50, I love this style cardigan because the collar keeps you warm the way a scarf would and you can layer it over a casual or dressy top for versatility.
This is another sweater that is going fast, but isn’t it cute? It looks so warm too! I like the longer sleeves (you can always fold them over when needed) for extra coziness 🙂
This striped scarf caught my eye, because well, stripes. Not to mention it is blue and white but also because it would freshen up a sweater (and again, warmth). I’d pair this with gray, pink, navy, yellow–really it would work with so many colors– and it is just $15 shipped.
Nordstrom has tons of jewelry on sale right now if you just need a little pick me up 🙂 I ordered these gold interlocking hoops because they were such a deal at less than $7 shipped. Also, If you wanted one of these Kendra Scott necklaces for Christmas and didn’t get one, I give you permission to gift one to yourself.
My husband gave me {in other words I ordered for myself and gave it to him to wrap 🙂 } a Barefoot Dreams cardigan for Christmas. I have wanted one for such a long time but even so, I wasn’t really sure it would live up to the hype. Oh my gosh, it does! These are so soft and warm, I put it on over my pj’s in the morning or with lounge pants when I am home for the day. I seriously love it, and this version is on sale for 33% off, worth every single penny.
I have been wearing my navy Hunter boots around this winter, they are great for rain, sleet or snow {especially with boot socks}, they are on sale here in a ton of colors–I love the pink and the blue colors that are discounted, and the high gloss is way more fun than the plain matte ones I have.
I have to admit I fell hard for this sweater (ignoring the fact that this is probably is not very warm!), I think it’s the cutest. It’s on sale with the code FRESH for less than $40 and would work nicely into spring so there are bonus points for that. Loft has tons of sweaters on sale (limited sizes) for 50% off sale price, there are some really good deals. They also have 40% off new arrivals, this navy striped poncho is great. Christy wore a very similar one to this when they were in town last month and she looked both stylish and warm 🙂
UPDATE: Today (Sunday) LOFT has 50% off everything and 60% off sale prices–such GREAT deals, I ordered these jeans, love the fun hemline!
Before I go, here are two other tips to keep the winter funk at bay. First, go right now and make a big batch of Christy’s white chicken chili. My mom brought us some the night we moved in 18 degree weather and it was the best thing ever (thank you mom!), hot comfort food hits the spot every time.
Second, last year about this time I wrote this post on Bullet Journaling. I just bought a new notebook for 2018, and thought it might be helpful to reshare for those of you tackling some large projects or who just want to get more organized this year.
PS. For those of you wondering what the “secret” item on my list was in the journaling post, it was beginning building a new home–a goal we just accomplished, here’s to writing down your goals!
Have a great weekend!

Great cozy finds. I always love the things you and Christy pick. Super excited to follow along on your new home journey. And agree, soup is so comforting this time of year. Not sure if you’ve read it yet, but our book club just finished Before We Were Yours, and everyone loved it!

I am going to check that book out now, thank you for the recommendation! XO

HI Mary, I emailed you but this paint color has a definite blue undertone. In some lights it looks light blue vs gray, if that is the direction you want to go with cabinets it would work. I’d definitely test it first as it looks different in different lights. I hope that helps! Amy
