So, we are snowed in here in North Carolina (go ahead and laugh about that for a minute, Northern friends, I totally understand). We were expecting a dusting on Wednesday and got 6″ instead, and of course it’s been really cold here for the last week, so everything froze over again last night. While I’m sure we could go out if we wanted to, it’s much more fun to burrow in at home and watch Netflix!
Since it’s freezing and I’ve got snow on the mind, today’s Friday Favorites post is centered around all things warm and cozy, plus I’m sharing two must-haves to get you on the right track for January.

First off, there are some great deals on Hunter boots right now. They’re usually around $150 a pair, so you’re welcome.
Hunter Original Tall Gloss with Adjustable Back ($86.40! + free shipping), these are for larger calves or if you just like a looser fit
Tour Gloss ($87! + free shipping), designed to be packable as they can be folded or rolled up
Original Gloss ($78! + free shipping)
Hunters come in a range of colors, so you can stick with basic black, or go a little wild with hot pink, red, or electric blue (see all the on sale colors here). Pair them with their boot socks and these wellies will keep your feet dry and toasty all winter.
Plaid blanket scarf ($23.50, 4 patterns)
Next up, I bought this blanket scarf before Christmas and have worn it a ton (I’ve also had to retrieve it from my daughter’s room multiple times, so I guess it’s also teen-approved). It’s huge–you can literally use it as a throw on your couch–but I love how cozy and versatile it is. It’s on sale for $23.50.
OK, remember this awesome outfit combo we shared before Christmas as part of our what to wear this holiday season post? (notice the Hunter boots, by the way)
I have worn that plaid down vest a TON and it is so warm! They are on sale now for a steal, so it’s time to buy. The leopard is great (I also have one of those) and I also love the grey herringbone:
Down Vest (solids $22.99 or patterns $24.99)
LOFT has some amazing deals right now as their clearance items are an additional 70% off. Here are a few of my favorites:
Tie Cuff Sweater (three colors, only $13.50!)
Lou & Grey Pocket Open Cardigan ($19.50)
You can browse all of their sale items {HERE}.
Here’s a top that’s not on sale, but still reasonably priced at $44.50–and I love those stripes!
Striped Bell-Cuff Top ($44.50)
If you’ve made a New Year’s resolution to drink 64 oz. of water a day, then check out these bottles. They keep you on track with time measurements on each side. Fill it twice throughout the day and you’ll get your full water quota.
Water bottle with hourly measurement
Last, but not least, I am going back to my old faithful Day Designer planner (shop them here). They’re a bit pricey, but so worth it. I tried a Kate Spade one last year, but it just didn’t keep me on track in quite the same way. Amy uses them, too, in combination with her calendar pads.
What’s so great about them? Well, if you’re devoted to paper planners over electronic, like I am, then this one covers it all. There are spaces for the day’s top three most important things, sections for Due/Dollars/Dinner/Don’t Forget, and a daily gratitude section to prompt me to be intentional about every moment.
That covers it, friends. Stay warm and thanks for stopping by!

I’ve only been out of the house once since Wednesday! Wilmington is still covered in ice and the temperature is not supposed to get above freezing until tomorrow. A little shopping is a good way to help my cabin fever…
