I am back to show off the final update in my home office, last week I showed you the new art on the wall. Since then I added this pretty gray velvet settee to the spot underneath the artwork.
I’d wanted to add some seating in here, while I sit at my desk and work during the day I frequently have people stopping in here to chat–my husband or my children. Especially after school, when my kids drop in and tell me about their day or more importantly to come ask what is for dinner! I don’t have a ton of space in this office, so a small settee like this one fit in the room perfectly.
This settee came from Wal-mart, as part of their Vintage Chic collection. These items blend a farmhouse aesthetic with modern day living. Christy showed you her new dining room with some of the elements HERE.
As soon as I saw this piece I knew it would be perfect in here. The color matches the other cool gray tones in our home and the velvet is soft and luxurious, perfect for my very feminine home office.
This settee would work nicely in other areas, like at a table to provide comfortable seating or at the end of a bed. A few pretty throw pillows dress it up nicely, I added this pretty blush velvet one (that is just $10!). I love the gold zipper on it.
Walmart has so many budget-friendly home decor options. I love that this settee is from the major national brand, Safavieh. Everything over $35 ships free and you have the convenience of free returns if something isn’t perfect which makes updating a space in your home easy and affordable.
You have seen the other side of the office before, but here is a picture of my desk area looking in the door.
I keep the decor fairly neutral in here; it makes it feel like a peaceful place to work.
