This week went pretty fast, at least it did around here! Considering my daughter was home sick three of the days, which meant I didn’t leave the house much, I am a little surprised that I feel like Friday snuck up on me, but I am not complaining! Today we have a Favorite Finds post for you, with an emphasis on Valentine’s Day and one of our all-time favorite themes, pink things 🙂
I feel like in blog-land Valentine’s day has suddenly become a big deal. It isn’t a holiday I tend to go overboard for, but this year there have been blog hops, gift guides and tablescapes galore. I suppose it is filling the void between the holidays and spring and gives us all the pink things to talk about 🙂
My boys are too old to need class Valentines but my daughter still does. We are making her “Love Bugs” cards for her classmates this weekend complete with jelly worms, I’ll put those on our Instagram stories for sure. Also, somehow this Valentine’s Day my husband and I will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the night we met. We actually met the night of the 13th, but since it was in a bar I am pretty sure that it happened after midnight so we tend to just give the 14th all the credit. I feel like we need to definitely do something special to celebrate this year :), not that we’ve planned anything yet!
Years ago I gave my husband a pass on overpriced flowers for Valentine’s Day, but there are always a few things I’d be happy to receive instead. Here are some of my favorite Valentine’s finds, things that will last longer than flowers for sure.
I have had my eye on this Kendra Scott bracelet for quite some time {I am hoping he reads this, hint hint} it is a perfect Valentine gift. I love the rose gold, and I think this is a nice piece of jewelry you could wear every day. I also love this pink ring but do think it may be a little too much for everyday wear. It’s so fun in the pink though.
I am in love with these sweet floral pj’s and they would definitely make for lovely lounging on those days when you don’t have to get dressed right away :). These come in a ton of colors and get great reviews for being soft, they also come in a short version here for those of you already thinking spring.
If you just want to buy yourself a guilt-free, Valentine’s gift, Sugarfix by BaubleBar is on sale! This pink necklace is just $15 (comes in other colors) and these earrings are fun too. They have so many cute things, especially for spring.
And, if you didn’t get these for the holidays we swear by our Kate Spade stud earrings, I wear mine all the time. They come in fun colors or you can’t go wrong with the classic crystal.
For those of you who are true romantics, I saw this bracelet company on Instagram the other night. It’s called Yearly Co. You can read about them HERE. For a non-jewelry gift, for the last few years, my husband has given me the Jennie’s Macaroons for Valentine’s day {after I convinced him I really would rather have chocolate than flowers), my favorite flavor is the dark chocolate sea salt but they have the regular chocolate ones here. They are healthy and made with natural ingredients so you don’t have to feel too guilty enjoying them.
For those of you who can’t be bothered with Valentine’s day, here are a few more fun finds I wanted to share with you. I did some retail therapy while cooped up with my sick girl this week, here are a few things that are worth passing along.
We’d love to hear your fun finds in the comments! Have a great weekend everyone!
