Typical of how my life is going right about now, last week’s post was titled “Friday Favorite Finds” instead of “Favorite Friday Finds.” Granted, that’s not a big deal at all in the grand scheme of things, unless you’re trying to search our posts in an organized manner, but it’s just an example how things are in my life right now. I’m pretty much a hot mess these past few weeks–can any of you relate?!
So, in an effort to return to a more serene state of mind, I decided to spend some time focusing on shoes. That’s always time well spent, right?

Most of these gems are from the Nordstrom Fall Sale (40% off just in time for Christmas party and gift shopping!) but two are from Target. Have I mentioned that we don’t have a Target nearby? I’m literally an hour away, so when I get there every 3-4 months, everything is new to me and I go a little crazy. I had a $150 cart this last time, but that’s better than a $150 cart three days a week!
These crushed blue velvet flats came home with me:
Size down at least 1/2 size on these (seriously; I bought a 7 and maybe could have fit in a 6.5). They’re inexpensive but SO comfortable, and crushed velvet is really in this season, so you will be completely trendy even in denim and a plain white T!
The other lovelies in this rotation I haven’t bought YET, although I have several pairs of the Tory Burch flip flops and they are comfortable and run true to size. I put them on the list even though it’s getting colder outside because they’re a steal right now and they make great Christmas gifts.
The black D’Orsay flats are calling to me. Pointy toes are also back in this season, if you hadn’t noticed. The good thing about them is they are really flattering to your feet. I love the tassels on the ankle ties, too!
The navy velvet heels would look fabulous for holiday parties! They come in several other colors if you want to mix things up.
Since I don’t wear party shoes most days, let’s shift back to casual wear. This black and white checked pair of flats is in my cart and I <3 them!
And on those days when booties are an essential, this studded pair is at the top of my list:
There–now you’re covered for all of your upcoming shoe needs. Happy Friday, friends!

Quite Honestly, I didn’t even notice the difference so please don’t worry about it. I’ve got a solution – call it F. F. F. and that way its all covered! Have a restful weekend

That sounds like a perfect idea, Lisa. Thanks for the grace and the warm wishes!
