Yes! It’s Friday! Today marks the end of our second full week of school, plus it has been insanely hot and humid this week, so we are all looking forward to the weekend.
I’m off to visit a college friend in Charlotte tomorrow, so we’ll just have to stop into IKEA. Maybe it’s a good thing I’m driving a VW Beetle these days, or else I might be tempted to buy more things than I can fit in the MCC House, although I’m quite amazed by what I have managed to fit in the back thus far!

On Fridays, we try to share some of our favorite things, so I’m trying to stick to that schedule. Next week, I’ve got a few tweaks in the living room to show you, and my little office area is getting a makeover, too, so that will be coming up.
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s on my list:
I mentioned this twist front t-shirt the other day; it’s been restocked at Nordstrom in most colors and sizes. It’s lightweight and pairs perfectly with everything. It’s only $22 with free shipping. My most recent color is “tan cork” and I love it with white capris and silver jewelry.

As I mentioned on Facebook this morning, here’s another site selling the same style of shirt; it’s under $21 shipped and they’ve got different colors available.

Next up are these dainty gold wire earrings for only $8 and free shipping. I have a pair like this in gold and another in silver, and they look great when my hair is up in a clip or a ponytail, which I’ll admit happens most days when it’s over 90 degrees.

As I also mentioned on Facebook a few days ago (because I do like to post shopping PSAs over there), the Kate Spade surprise sale is going on right now. You can access the sale {here}; you will need to put in your email address and zip code to enter the sale site, then I usually filter the sale items from lowest to highest price so I can see the best bargains first.
The surprise sale is when I stock up on birthday gifts for my stash. Teenaged girls love to get name-brand goodies as a present, and they’ve got lots of jewelry for $19 and flip-flops for $24. They come packaged in darling little dust bags and Kate Spade boxes, ready to pop a bow on and give.
Beside the cute hinged bow bangle I pictured above (it’s $25 and comes in black leather or gold), I also love this “raising the bar” ring for $19 and the gumdrop stud earrings. They’re also $19 and come in three colors. Shipping is free over $99.

| Glamorous Wash |
I KNOW that I’ve linked to this a half dozen times before, but everyone should try it! Tyler Candle Company’s Glamorous Wash will make your laundry small absolutely amazing! I wash all my towels and sheets with it and recently have started using it for my daughter’s dozens of leotards and tights (you even smell good when you sweat when you use this stuff). It’s pricey but I use unscented laundry detergent and then add about a tablespoonful of this to the load, so it lasts for months.
The “Diva” scent is my favorite, but if you’ve used that and like it, then “High Maintenance” is also wonderful.

| Foldover leopard clutch purse |
I bought a leopard clutch from Forever 21 and they sold out so quickly–seems like that’s still the case everywhere. You can find them but only if you want to spend $75 and up, so I was so happy to see this little guy last weekend when Amy and I were at the mall in Durham. It’s a smaller size but will hold your evening essentials, and the gold chain is detachable. Best of all, it’s only $28.

I love office supplies in all their forms, and we just bought these pens for my daughter to use when she needs a highlighter–they’re so neat! They’re “midliners” so not quite as bold as a regular highlighter, but nice muted pastel shades that are perfect for underlining, Bible journaling, or making your calendar or to-do list nice and organized. They’re also about $6 with free shipping, so you’ll be tempted to buy a pack of every color pathway.
I’m not the only grownup who still loves pens and post-it notes, am I?
OK, I’m off to make my shopping list for IKEA; my sweet friend Ashly just moved locally to a new home and she needs curtains (always a must-buy at IKEA). You can see her gorgeous Christmas tour {here}, and she has promised that I can show you her new place very soon!
Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by~

I love that top!!!!
Isn’t it great? I have the pale gray one also and it looks so good with silver jewelry and white capris!
Thanks for writing–
Christy
I am loving that top and the leopard bag. Might have to stop in our local store ASAP!
It’s hard to beat leopard–I’m addicted!
