Today, I’m going to share our favorite Easter recipes, plus a few ideas for your table.

For the meal, I stick with tradition and bake a spiral ham. If you’ve never cooked one before, they are so simple. I usually buy the kind that has the honey glaze that you brush on for the last 15-20 minutes. We don’t usually have many leftovers, but they make yummy ham sandwiches the next day if you do!
My Aunt Diane’s sharp mustard is a staple in our refrigerator and pairs perfectly with Easter ham. The recipe makes several jars, so if you’re someone’s guest for Easter dinner, this is a great hostess gift.

Another Easter essential is my friend Becky’s yeast rolls. While we make them for pretty much every holiday, Easter is Becky’s favorite holiday, too, and our families have often shared this meal together.
The recipe makes several dozen, but they never last more than a day!
We usually pair these with butter, honey, and strawberry jam. Strawberries are in season, and this jam is amazing:
We usually do a few other sides…scalloped potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and asparagus or green beans are usually on the menu. If you’re doing mac and cheese, then my recipe {here} is the best! Amy’s gluten-free version is also delicious and is {here}.
An Easter table is always so fun to set; here are a few of our favorites from previous holidays.

If you’re keeping tabs on our move, here’s the current situation at my house:
We’re still not able to start moving into the MCC house, so I’m spending my time packing my husband’s stuff and taking it to storage. Hopefully we can start the actual move by the end of the week.
Have a wonderful Easter, everyone, and thanks for stopping by!

Christy, I know what it’s like to move over a holiday, but knowing you, you will make it beautiful!

Hey, Heidi–
Our Easter dinner was pretty casual–we sat on the couches and chairs in the living room since we’ve already moved our table to the new house–but it was still wonderful. I’d say we’re about 75% done, but what’s left is pretty heavy. That all goes next weekend, and I’ll continue to take small batches this week. Phew!
I hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday.
XO,
Christy
