One of my best friend’s daughters is turning two this week. Last year, they threw her daughter this AMAZING butterfly birthday party which was nothing short of spectacular.
If you missed it, check it our here. This year, they are hosting an ice cream social in honor of her 2nd birthday and we are all excited to celebrate.
The birthday girl, like most two-year olds, likes to do everything herself. She likes to picks out her own clothes, she chooses her shoes (even if they don’t match) and she loves to accessorize. Her stylish mom makes sure she is always dressed perfectly with hairs bows, sun glasses and even play jewelry to match her little outfits. Since they are in the process of designing her “big girl” bedroom, I thought this gift was both helpful and decorative.
The process to make this was simple. I took a frame and using a custom chalk paint/wax mix, finished the frame to look like this.
I cut a piece of metal radiator covering to fit the frame, which I first gave a quick coat of white spray paint, and attached it inside the frame.
The bows clip right on it perfectly. I added a pink bow using grosgrain ribbon to the top make it even more girly. Then, I filled my gift with a collection of hair bows for the birthday girl to enjoy.
An easy, but special, gift for a special girl.
