I used ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape to create lines:
And then I gave the vase a coat of Rustoleum Gold Metallic Spray Paint. When I peeled the tape off, the gold stripes were perfect!
I love fresh flowers, and the vase adds the perfect touch to my living room. It’s almost done, by the way, so you’ll be seeing the full reveal in the next week or so.
Until then, you can read about my DIY built ins {here}, the gold garden stool I painted {here}, and the black velvet chair {here}.
I think this would be a cute hostess gift, too, don’t you? I am ALWAYS looking for good hostess gift ideas!

Love it! I’ve done this and it makes a great vase/candle holder for very little $$. I know your room is going to be outstanding!
