Today we were invited to share our “Cozy Home” with you along with some blogging friends, so I took a few photos to show you the fall touches in our home. You can see what Christy did in her apartment, which she already shared, here. You can see all the other blogs sharing their homes at the links below, we are thrilled to be included!
I feel like last year I went all out for Fall (maybe because we were still stuck at home then?) and this year, my motivation was a little less. I was happy to participate in this tour because making our home cozy seemed more appealing to me than adding a whole bunch of fall decor all over the place! This year I was inclined to keep things a bit more simple.
I have been adding pumpkins and mums here and there, and these awesome baskets were just what I have been looking for on our porch. They are resin, so they hold up to the elements and not as expensive as the other outdoor baskets I have found. As soon as the mums wither (which they do in Virginia pretty early) I’m hoping to fill the baskets with spring blooming bulbs (I hope that will work?). Though they would also look great with fir trees at the holidays first.
Moving inside, I simply added some fall pillows for texture and warmth and sprinkled in a few pumpkins here and there. My pillows are linked below.
Sources for the room are below~
I also added some cozy fall touches in our kitchen and breakfast room. I am finishing up the cabinets along the back wall so part of this room is still a bit of a mess right now. While all that has been going on we have been using the bar cart for serving. I also added some fall touches to the open shelving above the cart.
The kitchen just got a few warm touches like favorite cookbooks, dried hydrangeas and some warmer wood tones.
Kitchen sources are below (you can see our recent kitchen updates here)~
Thank you for inviting me to share our home today, please check out the other bloggers on the Cozy Home Tour below!

HI Amy, So fun discovering the blog you ladies have created and seeing your pretty home. Love the ideas and the little touches inside too. I think I need those resin baskets also as the sun here really trashes mine. The colors in that kitchen bouquet are so beautiful- and I spy a few of my favorite cookbooks too. I am looking forward to reading more of your posts and so fun to do this together! x Kim

Hi Amy
Your house is so welcoming and inviting. If you didn’t go all out this year I can’t imagine what last year looked like. I love your coffee table vignette. Thank you so much for joining us! We love you ladies!

HI–love that you all are interested in our power (and sorry for the long response, I went to visit my son in college!)…yes the outlet by the door is very standard here in Virginia. Typically they are hidden in front of the house behind bushes unlike ours which is certainly front and center. We use it all the time, mostly to charge yard tools or I use it when I am working on a project in the driveway and need power (like when I use a sprayer for painting). Of course we use it for our Christmas lights too!

Hello Amy! It’s so fun to join you creating a cozy home tour for the season. I adore your neutral color scheme and your wicker pumpkin has my heart. Then I saw the gold pumpkin of your bar tray … and I’m torn. Ok, I can’t choose and love them both the same. Anyhoo, the neutral backdrop and natural elements make your home a very welcoming place to enjoy the cooler days ahead. xo
