•••We’ve teamed up with the folks at Minted to give away THREE $100 credits to our awesome readers–enter {here}–and enjoy!•••
So, full disclosure that I am doing Christmas cards this year for the first year in about five years, so I’m a bit of a Christmas slacker. I stopped mostly because I felt like things were already so busy in December that this was just one more added stress.
But it just didn’t feel right not to send out holiday greetings, and I know we had lots of people mention that they really wanted to see photos of the kids, so this year I decided to order from Minted (they do our business cards and we love their style and quality) and it was SO EASY. Seriously, the hardest part was picking our card out from the hundreds they have available.
Once you narrow down what kind of greeting you’re looking for (holiday, Christmas, New Year’s, etc.) they offer a “Find it Fast” feature that allows you to upload your photo and see it in every. single. one of their photo cards as you browse, like this:
That made it really easy to tell which cards would look best with our photo (obviously we needed portrait instead of landscape so my hubs wouldn’t be headless). You can see that many of the cards are available in several different color schemes, and just by clicking on the colored squares you can see how each of them will render in different colors.
You don’t have to use a photo; they have dozens of personalized cards and postcards without photos, too.
I chose to customize the back of our card, too, and added a few paragraphs about what’s been happening in our world over the past year. I used to include a printed “Christmas newsletter” but it was so much easier (and prettier) just to print it on the back of the card, using matching colors.
And, they offer free envelope addressing in colors and designs that coordinate with the card that you choose:
Aren’t they gorgeous?! You can either import those from a spreadsheet or type them in manually; or of course you can have the envelopes delivered blank for you to hand-address, but I knew my printing couldn’t hold a candle to theirs!
Now through November 16th they are offering 20% off foil-pressed holiday cards (use coupon code FOIL), and 15% off holiday cards $150+ or 10% off holiday cards $100+ (use coupon code JOY).
I’ll be back to show off the finished cards once they’ve arrived (they shipped within 48 hours of placing the order, by the way), but in the meantime, Minted has graciously offered to give three of our readers a $100 credit to their site so you can order your own cards. Enter {here} and I’d love it if you’d leave me a comment telling me which of their cards you like best!
