As you all know, we work with Home Depot frequently and not just for all of our DIY project needs. Remember that my much-loved tufted living room sofa and Amy’s stunning kitchen table are both from Home Depot:

Obviously we all run to the closest Home Depot when we need to round up supplies for home improvement or DIY projects, but did you know that now you can find pretty much everything related to home decor at HomeDepot.com? Seriously–anything and everything. Bedding, wall art, small appliances, furniture, pillows, storage, rugs, dinnerware and glassware–you name it, they carry it, and in quality brand names. They offer free shipping on orders over $45, and you can choose between two day shipping or free in-store pickup.
And if for any reason you order something you don’t absolutely love, remember they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee and free returns to any store.
Using my very own Home Decorator’s Collection tufted sofa as a starting point, I created a living room design board using items from the HD Home collection–and I did it for under $1600! Here’s what I came up with:
| Watkins Sofa (Out of Stock–similar HERE and HERE) | Coffee Table | Velvet Pillows | Rug (it’s a fabulous price!) | Wall Sconce | Storage Basket | Set of 3 Tobacco Baskets | 5′ Faux Fiddle Leaf Fig |
Here are some other options that work well in this space:
| Floor lamp | Mirror (modern) | Mirror (baroque) | Similar rug with more blue in it | Clock | Chair or Chair | Blue and White Plates (use 3 or 5 of them on the wall) |
While I had a great time browsing online to create my design board, they also offer curated collections that allow you to shop a particular room easily. Speaking of “shop the look,” here’s Amy’s breakfast room with all of her Home Depot sources linked below:
| Table (shown in Antique Gray) | Similar Chandelier | Bookcase/ Shelving | Rug | Round Woven Placemats | Rectangular Storage Baskets | Bamboo Blinds |
As you know, we’ve been sharing inspiration boards weekly lately as part of our “Budget Design” series, and it’s always fun to show how a room can be completely updated even on a cost-conscious decorating budget. Fitting in with that theme, several of the items I linked to above are on sale right now; Home Depot’s prices are always competitive but when items go on sale or special promotion, they are virtually unbeatable, and their customer service is top-notch.
Now I’m off to order that rug for my own living room!
