Now that Fall is here and in full swing, we’ve been spending our weekend nights catching up with friends and neighbors around our backyard firepit. This year to kick off the season we decided to host a “Champagne and S’mores” buffet in honor of the coming cooler temperatures and long evenings in front of a fire.

While champagne may not be the “expected” drink to serve on a fall fire pit night, we passed on the heavy pumpkin-flavored ales for a fun mix to surprise our guests. Perfect with the “sweets” of the S’mores bar, we created the perfect champagne cocktail to serve in the early Fall weather.

This one is simple but delicious, you just mix champagne with pear-flavored vodka and some cranberries, and there you have it–the perfect Fall cocktail!

For the S’mores buffet, we moved our entertaining table down {see how I made it here, this is so useful!} to the Fire Pit area {you can see how we DIY’d our Fire Pit last year, an easy weekend project} and set up our adult-friendly S’mores station.

We served the traditional graham crackers but offered other cookie options as well, and different chocolates so guests could create their own gourmet concoctions.

Despite impending rain, the evening was great fun. Who says S’mores are just for kids? And adding champagne into the mix made an ordinary evening extraordinary!
An evening with friends, a fire, the perfect cocktail and some sweets–a perfect Fall evening.
Saying goodbye to summer wasn’t easy this year, but this celebration made cooler temperatures with firepit-filled Fall evenings something to look forward to.
Cheers, everyone!

Is the champagne drink equal parts vodka and champagne? Making this for a weekend get together!
Thx,
