Hello everyone and welcome to Day Three of the 12 Day of Holiday Homes. Today is kind of fun because it’s my day to share our home tour, so prepare for a bit of a photo overload. I am joined today by friends at The Heathered Nest and Maison De Cinq, and a full list of all our tour guests can be found at the bottom of the post.

This tour is generously sponsored by Lynch Creek Farms, I can’t wait to show you the beautiful centerpiece they provided, but before I get to that, come on in! Welcome to our home.

If you are new around here, I live in Virginia with my husband, three children, and two silver labs. Upon arriving at our home at least one of these two girls will be waiting anxiously to greet you, they pretty much think they run the place–when they aren’t sleeping that is. This is our mama dog Lucy, she’s pretty much camped out by the front door in hopes that someone will come to visit and bring some excitement to her day.
Before we go any further, would you like a cocktail? We’re big on enjoying life around here so help yourself 🙂
flocked tree | mirror | garland | lantern | similar throw | blinds | gift boxes
Come right into to our living room, this is our most used room and where we have our ‘main’ tree. Last year I skipped right over our usual live tree for this room and just decorated this flocked tree {you can see last year’s tour HERE}. I liked it so much I did the same thing this year. I kept the colors simple using mostly gold and silver, but this year added just a few touches of my favorite light blue.
I absolutely love wrapping presents. I love the paper, the colors, the ribbons and making the tags, and once wrapped they also make great decor. As soon as our gifts come in, they get wrapped and placed under the tree or put out on display.
Our regular readers may notice I made some changes in this room; I moved the Magnolia frame from over the fireplace to our hallway and added this round gold mirror. I have had my eye on this mirror for months, I just needed to find a place to put it in our home to justify buying it. Once I started decorating I knew it would be perfect over the mantel with the silver and white garland, I love the simplicity.
We have recently started eating in our dining room more, and I am sure over the holidays we will use it even more frequently. In here I have our other tree, which is just an inexpensive faux tree. It takes quite a bit more sprucing up to make it look pretty than our other flocked tree, but with a few picks, large flowers and ribbons it becomes presentable.
I went with blue and white in here, and even though it isn’t a traditional holiday color scheme, I love how it all came together. I mixed in tons of silver accents to add some sparkle.
We have a traditional chest that we use as a sideboard (it was my grandmothers) and I added some decor to the top. I bought my husband this vintage deer print (from this cute store) and displayed some wrapped blue and white packages. Each year I order printed gift tags for our family gifts, this year I selected the tartan plaid with a monogram from HERE.
I found this brass champagne chiller at the Lucketts Holiday Open House and even without being polished, it is currently high on my list of favorite things. I filled it with ornaments for the holidays, and just move them when we entertain as it’s the perfect size for holding drinks. Of course, I had to keep out a few pieces of blue and white chinoiserie, it mixes perfectly with the blue accents on the tree.
With all the bright blue in the room, I decided to keep the dining room table simple this year. I used mostly gray and silver. I found these gorgeous birch candle holders, they have been a star in my holiday decor. We vacation in Maine where these trees, with their trademark white bark, are abundant so they hold special meaning for us.
I feel like I have used gold on this table so often in recent years so it was refreshing to return to silver accents. I like the wintery mix of the silvers with the natural greenery. My favorite holiday green is juniper, you’ll see I used it pretty much anywhere I could to decorate our home this year.

From our dining room, the next stop is our kitchen. I admit I didn’t decorate very much in here, but I always make sure to put seasonal touches on my DIY shelves. I loved the simplicity of this sign, and just added greenery and seasonal accents to dress up the shelves.
I did decorate the table in our breakfast room for the holidays since one important tradition in our family is to celebrate the first day of the kids’ holiday vacation with a fun breakfast. It started with our Elf, and even though my kids are now too old to believe in her magic, they still look forward to the Elf breakfast. Since Lynch Creek Farm sent me this beautiful Birch “N” Burlap centerpiece, it gets the place of honor on this table. I love the combination of magnolia, the fresh greenery and the pretty birch holder and it smells so good!
wreath | similar chairs | paper placemats | gold flatware | napkins | holiday china
I found these beautiful red and white plates at HomeGoods and couldn’t resist them–even though I think this is the only red anywhere in our holiday decor. Layered on our table they are perfect for a holiday breakfast.
Our final stop would be our hallway. I recently removed our gallery wall and moved the frame that had been over the fireplace to hang over this table.
console table | lampshade | tinsel tree | birch candle holders | wreath
The addition of these lamps really brightens up this hallway. This console table is available HERE and made a great addition to an otherwise unused space.
