I am so excited to say that I have started holiday shopping ahead this year, meaning I have already purchased at least 2 gifts so far, I know, that is underwhelming 🙂 I need to get cracking and today is the day! I do have a plan for what I am going to buy, because I always need a plan in my life {which reminds me to tell you yet again about the 2016 Holiday Planner!}, but for whatever reason I have been waiting for today to order most of my gifts, it is Black Friday after all!
Today I have some of my gift ideas for this holiday to share. The significant people in my life may not find all of these under the tree but maybe some of these ideas will make your shopping a little easier. I have my top picks for pre-teen boys, elementary school age girls, for the women in your life {sisters/mothers/mother-in-laws} and for outdoor loving men {because that would be my husband!} and a few other fave’s like girlfriends gifts and, of course, what I have on my wish list for Santa this year!

PRE-TEEN BOYS
I have two of them, and sadly they have outgrown the stage where you could pretty much buy the newest lego set and be sure they would be over the moon. My boys have both moved in to the ‘all sports’ stage of life. My older son is either playing sports, eating {copious amounts of food} or sleeping these days. My younger one just plays sports. All the time. They both like to read though, and are constantly is in need of new books so I thought I’d replace their outdated Kindles this year. There are some amazing black Friday deals on Kindle today if you have a reader on your list!
My oldest son asked for these Sperry boots this year, I like that they are practical and will last awhile {and of course, if he outgrows them we have a little brother to pass them down to!} not to mention, their classic look appeals to me.
Both my boys are getting these drawstring bags this Christmas, they use them for almost everything on the weekends, car trips, sleepovers {boys travel light!} and even to haul gear to some of their sports events. These are a great price and Under Armor is always a hit with boys of a ‘certain’ age.
These Vineyard Vines shirts are great for boys, I buy them oversized and they wear them all the time. My younger son is borrowing his brother’s shirt so he is getting one of his own this year.
OUTDOOR LOVING MEN
I have my eye on this Garmin watch for my husband, it has all sorts of sports tracking things on it and pairs with a smart phone. My husband is very active, and loves to be in the outdoors so I think he would enjoy all the technology this has.
I also thought this FitBit would be fun for him, he is very competitive and loves gadgets so this would be a good way to inspire him to keep moving.
We have several pairs of good binoculars but this is always a no-fail gift for men, since they can be hard to shop for I thought I’d share this idea. Especially now that our kids are in so many sports, my husband loves being able to see all the action up close even if we’re way up high in the bleachers. He particularly loves these binoculars.
THE LADIES IN YOUR LIFE
Most of these ladies gift ideas are on my list too, I am not going to lie 🙂 Starting with this Barefoot Dreams cardigan, I keep seeing everyone rave about how soft and comfortable they are and I hope Santa brings me one, but I have one on my list for the special women in my life {stop reading Mom!}. I really like the idea of a sweater that is sort of like a robe, it sounds so cozy. This one is on Black Friday sale today too.
Both my mother and mother in law spend the colder months in Florida, so I have been on the hunt for something fun and beachy for them. I picked these Lilly tote bags, because anything Lilly is good in our book 🙂
ELEMENTARY AGED GIRLS
As soon as my daughter saw these pajama pants on her cousin last summer, she was like “Mom, I want some!”. These are sleepover worthy for sure 🙂 They are extra thick and so cozy, with tons of patterns to choose from, truly these are perfect for girls of any age.
The Hello Barbie is on the “HOT” list this year and going fast, the latest and greatest doll actually carries on a conversation {in a Siri like way}…I am not sure what they will think of next?!? But it’s worth a mention as it’s the #1 thing on my girl’s list, if I {or Santa} can find it?
I am giving the girls in my life these books {these have been on our list before} again this year, as I want them to have a collection. I know that bound books may become a relic in the future, but I love the beautiful Puffin in Bloom covers. My daughter still lets me read to her from them, which is special, so I am keeping them coming. Last year she got Anne of Green Gables, this year it’s Little Women.
GIRLFRIENDS
Shopping for friends is always the most fun, though most of these gifts also make my wish list too!
I love these Moon & Lola charms and bracelets {and basically everything in their store!}, they are also offering 30% off today for Black Friday, so I am stocking up for everyone.
I already ordered this as a Christmas present for myself {I am all about making my husband’s life easy !}, last year I wanted this leopard clutch and it sold out so this year I scooped it up early, it is perfect for holiday parties. The store is offering 20% off today too!
I have a pair of Kate Spade stud earrings and wear them all the time. These are just $18 {they will probably sell out} but they have other pairs available as well. What girlfriend wouldn’t love these?
