My aunt and uncle visited a few weeks ago during their spring break–they live in Michigan and enjoy coming down here where it’s actually WARM during early April!
Every time they visit, we check out a few of the flea markets and antique shops that make Savannah so fun, and this time was no exception. At Two Women and a Warehouse, on Bull Street, I found this great vintage gold mirror to hang over the Greek Key dresser I made for my daughter’s room.
Don’t you just love the top?
I had a thrift store mirror hanging above the dresser previously, although it’s a bit hard to see with the feather wreath on top of it (we were decorated for Christmas in her room at that point!):
I will definitely use that mirror somewhere else…it might go back to its original gold tone first, though!
In the meantime, she’s thrilled with this one and I love the simple lines.
She wanted to leave the Nutcracker things out, even after Christmas, because she loves ballet. We’re allowing her to go to a two-week training intensive this summer HOURS away from home–she’s thrilled about it but I am already chewing my nails a bit because she’s my baby.
You can see how I made her DIY Greek key dresser {here}:
And if you have a ballet-crazy child, too, you can see her DIY ballet barre {here}.
And the rest of her room is {here}.
Have a great Monday, and thanks for stopping by!

What a gorgeous mirror. Perfect with her greek key dresser. Love all the ballet memorabilia. My niece danced up until a couple years ago. Had to stop due to health concerns. She would love this!

Christy, I love that mirror! Of course her room is beautiful and the ballet decor is so sweet. I totally understand the apprehension in having kids go off to camp, etc. I was truly a “helicopter” mom! 🙂 I never wanted them to know so I’d do the gnashing of teeth in private.
Have a wonderful week!
