You can also see the white ruffled shower curtain reflected in the mirror. The shower has glass doors, but I still like to hang a curtain to cover up the tub and shower; it just makes everything look tidier. It also gives my kids extra privacy given that they’re sharing the space and sometimes you just have to dash in to grab your toothbrush/deoderant/mascara in the morning rush!
Every few years I get new monogrammed guest towels; these are my current favorites:

Also, Amy and I got to see each other for dinner last night! Since she’s in Virginia and I’m in North Carolina, this only happens a few times a year (if we’re lucky). She and her family are on their way south for a week’s vacation, so we met for dinner right off the highway. It’s always SO GOOD to be together, even for just a few hours!

By the way, do you like my new (used) car? I’ve wanted a convertible for years; my first car was an old Corvette convertible and I’ve missed the wind in my hair. This little Beetle is so happy and fun to drive!
The kids enjoyed their reunion, too. They’ve grown up together and Amy and I realized last night that the boys are almost the age we were when we met each other in college!
Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for stopping by ~

thanks for sharing your family picture very nice looking family. I wanted to ask if you made the shell sitting on the back of your toilet of the powder room bathroom
Christy says
Thanks so much, Linda! I didn’t make the shell, I actually bought it here: http://bit.ly/2tl5oVn. This isn’t the exact one that I bought, but it’s close, and I know I didn’t spend more than $45 on mine (they can be very expensive if you don’t shop around). I’ve also seen them at TJ Maxx and HomeGoods recently. Hope that helps! Christy
