I was home alone this weekend, and because I was left unattended, I did some damage while shopping online for our upcoming trip to Portugal.
Trust me, I do plenty of shopping over here, but I still love my favorite stores in the States and so I’ll often have things mailed over. Since it’s kind of a tease to show things I buy over here that aren’t available at home, today I’ll just share what I bought from US stores.
This striped dress is only $34.99 and looks like it will be perfect for a casual dinner. If you don’t like the stripe, it comes in other patterns and colors.
I’m pairing it with these braided sandals ($34.99) that are a perfect dupe for the more expensive DV ones that you’re seeing everywhere. The reviews say they’re super comfortable; if they are I’ll probably buy them in brown, too.
Oh, and this eyelet top with puffy sleeves ($24.99, other colors available) will also work with the shoes; I’ll wear it with a long white skirt I have or white capri jeans.
Speaking of white jeans, I bought this ruffle top to try with them also…I’m not sure if it will look as good on me as it does on the model but I’ll keep you posted. It’s $29.99 and comes in three colors.
I bought this top in white over Christmas and I absolutely love it. It’s an investment piece but I get compliments on it every single time I wear it. I love it so much that I just bought it in black (if you’re in between sizes, size down–it’s roomy). The white one looks great with cropped jeans and my blue and white gingham heels:
The pearl buttons at the collar and cuffs mean that I usually wear pearl earrings with this top; here are my current favorites:
While I love heels for dinner out when I’m on vacation, during the day I prefer sneakers, especially if we’re walking around the city or doing a tour. Do you remember Tretorn sneakers from back in the day? I used to have a pair with a bright green swish–but I think I love these brown suede ones even more!
Those are my top picks, but I’ll confess that everything below is either in my closet or on its way to me. I read in our Sunday newsletter that Amy is also shopping for spring break; it’s funny how we still pick things that are so similar.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!
