I am writing this post on our new screen porch and it feels amazing, I promised myself after spending hours cleaning the house that I’d finally sit down and enjoy this space. It’s the perfect place to pull together a blog post, and I am also working on my next paleo post. I have been recording what I have been eating, if someone looked at the photos on my phone they would see nothing but food pics, that’s kind of weird don’t you think?!?
And, important sidenote for those of you who don’t have your moms to celebrate with, be sure to read Christy’s post on Mother’s Day when your mother isn’t here. I remember her mother so fondly, and really, everyone should be sure to read it then if you lucky enough to be able to, go hug your mom tight!
I had fun rounding up some gifts I’d love to get, or what potentially I might get for my mom, though since she will probably read this so I suppose I’ll have to have a few other tricks up my sleeve!
To start with, these darling floral pajamas would be top of my list. Aren’t they the sweetest? What mom wouldn’t love to get these? They are perfect for warmer weather; I also like this preppier version. With free shipping these pajamas (and the robe below) make for easy gifts to send.
At the holidays you hear me rave about the Barefoot Dreams cardigan, this is the robe version (and it’s on SALE!). I live in my cardigan, it is just about the softest thing ever. I can’t imagine how nice this robe must be, it must feel amazing on.
Moving on to what is always our go-to gift, if you haven’t bought your Mom some Glamorous Wash Detergent then you really should, and while you are at it make sure you buy yourself some too. It’s such a fun, decadent gift. It smells divine (we like the Diva scent) and it’s perfect for washing all those pretty things in, not to mention your sheets and towels.
This may be a bit of a strange gift, I am sure this one could even backfire on you:) but if you were to visit my house right now I’d have to tell you how much I love the new Mrs. Meyer’s Mint Hand Soap, Surface Spray, and Dish Washing Soap. I have used many of the Mrs. Meyer’s scents since I have the Grove VIP membership so I restock frequently, but this scent is very much my new favorite. I just reordered more from Grove to keep some extra on hand for gifts, but you can also get it via Amazon Prime Pantry or in stores. A few of these bottles wrapped in some dish towels, or along with some other kitchen accessories, makes a nice, easy gift. We all have to clean, so I say making the experience a little more pleasant is actually a very nice gift.
If you are in need of a simple gift, but one that you know that your mom or mother in law will enjoy, these candles are my very favorite hands down. They smell amazing even when unlit, I love the French Cade Lavender but they have a ton of yummy scents. Also with free shipping!
Since my Mom and I agree these are hands down the best flip flops ever, I am including them. While they cost a pretty penny, these flip flops last for years and are by far the most comfortable flip flops I have ever worn. They come in fun patterns, a pair of these would be a great gift just in time for pool season.
Finally, for more a more sentimental gift I like this simple monogram necklace above (this is flash sale so it won’t last, don’t wait if you want to order it). I also like this necklace below with the option to add your children’s names, this would make the sweetest mother’s day gift.
Maybe you found something for your own wish list too? Last year I came up with a home run gift and gave my mom a custom drawing of her, my daughter and I by the talented Lacee Swan. You can see that HERE.
We have Mother’s Day printables in the posts below:
