Outdoor Fall Decor Ideas

Last week, I posted on all of my indoor Fall decor {you can see that post here}, but I soon realized that I had so many pictures that I’d better save the outdoor decor for a separate post!

I actually don’t do too much for Fall; just add a few pumpkins (like the rest of the world) and make sure the front of my house is cleaned up after the HOT end of summer that kills all of our plants.

I showed you the mailbox area in {this} post.

Then I added some mini pumpkins and Indian corn, spray painted gold (thanks for the idea, Rust-oleum!).  Their gold metallic spray paint is the best, by the way, and it’s what I used for this project.

On the front porch, I added some faux gourds to the lantern–it’s still so warm here that I think real gourds would mold very quickly in that glass-enclosed space!  Our orange pillows come out every year, and the anniversary pillow is one that I DIY’ed.  The tutorial for that project is {here}.

The monogrammed pumpkin on the front porch is one that I grabbed on clearance a few years ago at Hobby Lobby, but you could easily make one just by adding a vinyl monogram.  The “Welcome” on the storm door is black vinyl; we actually sell it in our Etsy store {here}.

I think my poor fern will bounce back, but it had a rough August and September!

I make a pumpkin topiary most years using the Cinderella pumpkins that have fortunately gone mainstream.  To pad between layers a bit, I just use some of our ubiquitous Spanish moss (just be careful of the little bugs if you use this–we see tourists up to their arms in it all the time and I just cringe for them!).
