I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, we had absolutely gorgeous weather where I am, we put in some great pool time, had a garage sale to offload massive amounts of stuff {which did not actually happen, but oh well, Goodwill here we come!} and just enjoyed family time. I know those of you in other areas aren’t experiencing the same weather, so we’re extra grateful for the good days we’ve had.
Today I thought I would share some shots of our tiny basement bathroom. We jokingly say, even though it’s true, it’s the nicest bathroom in the house. The basement was finished by the previous owners after the home was built, and they put in some really nice features. Now that we’ve cleared out massive amounts of old toys, boxes and just plain junk that had been piling up down there, we can begin turning the basement into a usable, family-friendly space. I have big ideas, but a small budget, so this will be interesting!
Our guest room is already done and it’s HERE and this is the adjacent bathroom though it also has a second door to the main “Rec Room” space of the basement. It’s available for our guests {Christy!} and visiting Grandparents but unfortunately it’s not used too often. It is in a basement, thus the lack of natural light, but the pale walls and white accessories still make it feel airy and open.
The vanity has a nice marble counter, and the floors are what seem to be a water-resistant tile that looks like wood. It has a spacious linen closet (the door on the right) and a curved hotel-style shower curtain rod {similar HERE} which makes the shower seem larger and gives you more room.
I had the shower curtain in our previous Guest Bathroom in our previous house {You can see it HERE}, it’s ruffly and girly but it coordinates well in the room {similar HERE}.
Christy made me the ruffled guest hand towels as a house-warming gift several houses ago and I still love them. I just added a few accessories from HomeGoods to the space and it was pretty much guest-ready. The walls are painted a pretty pale blue/gray, while I do not have the exact paint color it is very similar to the color in our kitchen which you can see HERE.
Someday, we hope to remodel our upstairs bathroom in a similar fashion to this room, but for the time being at least our guests get to enjoy this space.
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Monday everyone!

Very pretty bath. I love the floors. Would love to eventually use tile that looks like wood in our basement as well.
