I admit I love New Years Eve. In the past we’ve had many a memorable evening with great friends, though as we’ve gotten older I admit there have been a few nights we celebrate early and don’t even actually stay up till midnight! Hmm..maybe we’ll improve on that one this year?!? Anyway, we’ve invited a few friends over for some appetizers, some fondue and some casual drinks, here is what I have planned.
Drinks kind of steal the show on New Years especially with my ex-bartender husband around. We’re planning on serving several of our greatest hits, I think our friends would vote for them too, including my husband’s Raspberry Martinis…

And for the guys {though I know many girls who are fans of these too} the “still officially nameless” bourbon drink that everyone loves, we still call it “bourbon lemonade” but I imagine the guys will spend much of the evening tossing out possible {and often hilarious} names as per usual.

It seems like almost every party I have I make my 5 minute, 3 ingredient goat cheese appetizer. This is seriously so easy, and so good. Everyone loves it, and nobody can believe it’s only bread spread with scallions, goat cheese and olive oil–that is all! As Ina says, how easy is that?!?

I also plan to make another recipe that is always a huge hit–Jalapeno Popper Dip.
I can’t find the exact recipe I use (I don’t add cheddar, just a bit of mozzerella cheese with the parmesan) but you can find the general recipe here. Trust me, everyone will want the recipe if you make this one!

I am also making this recipe for Cowboy Caviar, because I feel the need to add in black-eyed peas in my menu for good luck in 2015–can’t hurt?

Christy always does a fondue party on New Year’s, since I have recently unearthed my fondue pot from the depths of our storage room, I am planning to serve chocolate fondue for the adult dessert. Too bad she can’t be here 🙂
Another dessert/drink option is our Salted Caramel Martini…because well, it’s New Years Eve after all, and I firmly believe that resolutions can start the next day.

And for something fun to decorate with, you can download this super cute “Pop Fizz Clink” printable from the Social Home HERE.
I pinned a bunch of my favorite ideas to my “New Years Resolutions” Board on Pinterest or you can see our other New Year’s posts HERE. You can see all our drink recipes HERE for more ideas and other appetizer recipes HERE.
We hope you all have a very safe and blessed New Year! See you in 2015!
