Last weekend I escaped for some ‘me’ time to take care of some errands and pop into HomeGoods to try to find a piece of art for my family room. Of course, knowing how it goes when you go to HomeGoods and look specifically for one thing, I left with new bedding for my bed and no art!
I couldn’t resist showing off what I found that day. It is not that I needed new bedding, but I had a gift card from a sweet friend and I decided to buy it just because I loved it, for once not allowing need to be the deciding factor 🙂
It is photographing a bit blue but the background on the bedding is actually almost a gray, sadly this section of my room has no natural light so it is almost impossible to get a good photograph. I was hopeful the sun would cooperate for photos but it didn’t. My home office is in the sunroom adjacent to the room, so all the light is in that part of the space, which is nice for sleeping but not so much for photography!
I have had the monogrammed shams {from Ballard Designs} for a while and the white coverlet is also from HomeGoods, the set I purchased included the gray patterned shams and the comforter and it is by Tahari Home. In the past I have stayed away from patterns and typically have always had plain white bedding, but I loved this pattern so much I couldn’t walk by it. The woman in front of me was purchasing the same set so I am sure these all got snatched up quickly.
I don’t show my bedroom very often here because I still think it is in the “before” stage. I have a stencil project to work on and we’ll probably paint the whole room but at least I have pretty bedding while I wait to get around to those future projects. There is always something to be done, isn’t there?
Almost everything from this space is from HomeGoods–the lamps, the mirror, the bench and the bedding. The nightstands I DIY’d a few years ago, but I don’t think I ever posted about them–they were an estate sale find and are painted with white chalk paint, the decorative silver bar handles are from D.Lawless.
Have a great day friends!

How beautiful! I love it showing in blue, though I am sure it is lovely in grey as well. It looks so fresh and crisp!

Your new bedding is gorgeous!! I love the soft but bright colors.
I roamed into Stein Mart one day last year and walked out with beautiful bedding that I didn’t need. I still smile at it every day. Sometimes you just have to do that. 🙂
