Lemon Sugar Scrub Gift Recipe {Mother’s Day/Teacher Appreciation}

This is a busy time of year as far as gifts go, so I thought I’d pop in with an easy DIY gift idea. This is so perfect for a teacher gift, Mother’s Day gift or just a treat for someone who might need a lift. I am not going to lie, I have a thing for lemon-flavored things so this might be my favorite scent!

These little scrubs in jars are so easy to make, we’ve created them for gifts several times before (I’ll link them below). I used simple jars from Hobby Lobby (though you can find them in bulk here) and filled them with a mixture of Epsom Salts, Coconut Oil and Lemon Essential Oil. This scrub is perfect to keep in your bath to wake up your feet, elbows, or other areas of skin that need some brightening up. The coconut oil is great for your skin and the salt exfoliates all that dead skin right off–perfect for getting your feet ready for flip flop season 🙂 not to mention the bright lemon scent will perk you right up.

I used this essential oil available here and put about 20 drops in the jar but you can make the scent stronger or weaker depending on your preference.

These are so easy to make, just fill your jar 3/4 of the way with the salt and mix in coconut oil to a soft consistency. Add the drops of oil and stir well.

After it is mixed, you can add a pretty label to the top of the jar. If you like the one I created, just right click and download it to your computer, then resize and print as needed.

I ran the label through my sticker maker (such a fun tool, it makes anything you print into a sticker) but you can also print it on label paper. These are such an easy gift. They are perfect for Teacher Appreciation, Mother’s Day, or you can even make them to give as bridal or baby shower favors.
