All the 12 Days of Holiday Homes tours were so amazing, weren’t they? We have just a few more fun Christmas posts to share before the holiday gets here, so stop by next week in between all the last-minute shopping and wrapping!
I had big plans to be SO squared away for this holiday (because you know, the holiday planner…) but mid-week last week I got sidetracked with this really not-fun, flu-like virus and I am still not back to myself. To say it’s slowed me down would be an understatement. I am thankful I got most of my holiday to-do’s done ahead of time and that in this day of online shopping, I could do the rest of it from my couch, in between naps.
Needless to say, spending that much time shopping online for gifts led me to add more than a few items to my own wish list and in some cases, into my shopping cart. I am afraid I may have even found a few of my own gifts, my husband is going to be SO happy to have one less person to shop for 🙂

I shared some of the fun gift ideas I found on Instagram last week. I couldn’t resist the earrings, they are such a steal at $10 {looks like the ones I got have already sold out but they have a great selection of similar ones here}. I was asked about their quality, and they look way more $$ to me, the only thing I will say is that they are a little larger than I expected (between 1/3″ and 1/2″ I’d guess?) so they are the perfect holiday bling. I wore them out to a casual lunch yesterday though, and didn’t feel over dressed.
We’re coming out of a cold snap here in Virginia so I am all about staying warm–I have long wished for Hunter boot socks to go with my Hunter boots { the ‘holiday’ red is on sale here!} and I already ordered new CC Beanie hats for both my daughter and I for this year from HERE.

I alwayslike the idea of putting together a “kit” for a family gift instead of just one item. We’re putting together “popcorn packs” for people as gifts this year, with this fabulous popcorn maker, popcorn and these fun bowls. We ordered this popcorn maker a few months ago and it is used in our house almost every day, once you have freshly popped stove top popcorn you will never go back to the microwave kind again–I promise! My teens can make this for themselves after school, it is healthy and it feeds a crowd. It is super fun for movie night too; we’re packaging several popcorn items up together to make gifts for some of the special people in our lives this year.
Here is another gift idea, since this is on both Christy’s and my gift list this holiday I thought it was worth sharing. We both have pretty much the entire collection of Ina Garten’s cookbooks and use them all the time. Her newest book is out, Cooking for Jeffrey, which promises to be as great as all her others. Her recipes are my go-to for entertaining, I can’t wait to try some of her new ones, cooking is my way to pass the soon-to-come snow days!
