It’s time for our weekly cocktail recipe, as part of our summer “It’s 5 O’Clock at Magnolia Lane” series, and today I’m sharing my version of the “Pink Lady.” This is the yummiest summer drink recipe. I could drink it by the bucketful, although that wouldn’t be ladylike, now would it?
I enjoyed this drink with friends last weekend at Savannah’s Olde Pink House restaurant, one of our favorite places to dine. Their version uses homemade pink lemonade, which absolutely makes the drink, but my version calls for the lazy version. It’s still pretty fabulous.
I used bottled pink lemonade that I bought at HomeGoods, although the refrigerated (or from concentrate) brands at the grocery store will work, too.
The recipe couldn’t be easier:
The sugar is optional and it kind of depends on how sweet your lemonade is to begin with. I usually mix it without and then add the sugar to taste. And of course, you can halve the recipe for one drink.
Don’t forget the garnish–lemons, raspberries, and mint leaves!
And a sugar rim on the glass is always yummy:
Delicious and refreshing! Happy Summer!
