I’ve been adding touches of Fall throughout the house and thought I’d share a few shots with you. We’re hosting my cousin and his family again this Thanksgiving and are so looking forward to their visit. My in-laws will be spending five months in Savannah, as well, as they escape the cold of their New York home.
With a constant stream of guests, I keep our guest book on the hall table, along with some velvet pumpkins I found at Michael’s. They were only $2 – $4 each and I figured that was inexpensive enough that I wasn’t going to DIY my own! The sign and the lamp are from HomeGoods.
The kitchen table has new napkins and a spooky white pumpkin (napkins, plates, and placemats from HomeGoods):
I’m ripening some pears for a pear tart (recipe coming soon!) and they’re getting into the spirit of the holiday with their Fall color:
(Someone always asks; the bread tin is from Tuesday Morning a few years ago, but Antique Farmhouse sells them from time to time).
The burlap pumpkins in my vintage Chatillon scale are from Kirkland’s last year; you can see how I used them on our Thanksgiving table {here}. They’ll probably get a repeat performance this year! (the armoire to the right is my computer armoire that I posted about {here})
I love this Hopper rolling storage cart from Home Decorator’s–since we don’t have an island in this kitchen I made my own, and I use it to store some of my serving pieces. Remember that I’m not a big fan of this kitchen, so that’s why I’m only showing you little bits of it. 🙂
My copper Moscow Mule mugs (see my recipe for them here) are the perfect color for Fall.
Our coffee station sports a burlap ribbon and Halloween mugs during October; the jar on the right holds hot chocolate mix (my kids can’t start the morning without it):
In the dining room, I added a few Fall touches to my vintage decanters:
My vintage glove form:
And our open shelving:
I’ll be back next time with a few snaps of what I’ve done outside. In the meantime, Amy wrote a post a few weeks ago that shows our favorite Fall decor from previous years. You can check it out {here}. How are y’all decorating for Fall?

I had no idea what to do with that thing when I bought it, but it’s been such a great conversation piece!

Beautiful as always. But most importantly, is that a caramel cake in the cake stand? Yum!

Teehee–why yes, it is. Aren’t they an essential Fall food?!
