Today is Day Four of our Holiday Tour of Homes, and I am jumping back in again to share our kitchen and breakfast room. I just have a few pictures of the space and then we’ll get to the other guests today. I love seeing how everyone decorates their homes for the holidays! Welcome to those of you coming over from Duke Manor Farm!
Also–quick note, over the next few weeks we’re going through some site updates, so things might look a little different for the time being.
This is definitely the most used space in our home, as our kitchen opens to our breakfast room and our living room. It’s hard to get pictures since it’s always somewhat of a mess because so much life happens here! I didn’t add much decor in the kitchen for the holidays, I just added wreath over the stove and these small wreaths on the back of our barstools.
I found these sweet little wreaths at Kirklands, last year I used fresh small wreaths from Trader Joe’s but honestly, they were kind of a mess as they dried so I went with a more permanent option this year.
Over in our breakfast room I added more seasonal touches. I have been collecting these pretty red and white plates (I found them at HomeGoods over the last several years) and just love how they look for Christmas.
I set up a Christmas tablescape so I could enjoy them all month long, they are classic and festive. They mix perfectly with pretty much any other china, both my traditional Christmas china and my regular white plates.
My favorite new holiday decoration is our “Christmas Trees” sign from Oh Sweet Skye. I absolutely love this in our dining area. They have so many pretty signs, I actually let me kids decide which one they wanted and they all chose this traditional one. My son was giving me a hard time earlier this week since we didn’t have “complimentary cider and cocoa”, I clearly need to get on that!
Next week I’ll be back to show you all our Christmas tree and living room, and tomorrow Christy will show you her Christmas bedrooms. Below are the sources I used in our Breakfast Room and Kitchen.
