Happy Fourth of July!

 

I hope many of you are able to enjoy the day off as part of a long holiday weekend!  I’m spending my Monday at the airport, so of course there’s no better way to pass the time than blogging.

Yesterday, I dropped my son off in New Hampshire at a five-week summer program that is going to be immensely challenging and fun.  He’s with hundreds of kids from all over the US and the world (I think they said there are 53 different countries represented), and I know it’s going to be the experience of a lifetime.

On a related note, I just have to give major props to all of our northern friends who DO NOT HAVE CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING.  I know that it’s not hot for as long up north, but it still can get ridiculously hot during the summer months, and y’all just turn on your window fans and suck it up.  I am wilted after my day without AC!  You all are a thousand times tougher than I am and I am admitting it in writing!
