It’s the time of year for gifting our favorite dads (Father’s Day is June 21st) and graduates…so Amy and I pulled together a few ideas to help make your shopping and gift-giving a little easier.
Our husbands are both fabulous bartenders; mine has wanted a new shaker for ages so I paired it with the neatest silicone ice cube trays that make perfect square ice cubes. He was able to make me a delicious coconut mojito with his new tools (recipe coming soon), so that was a win-win! I also picked up a four-pack of Old Brooklyn root beer, which my kids swear is the best, and we all enjoyed root beer floats for dessert.
And because my husband loves to grill or smoke on his Big Green Egg, we also bought him some new grill-related “tools.” The veggie basket is my new favorite way to prepare vegetables, and the stainless kabob skewers are reusable and easy to clean.
It’s also Graduation time, for a special gift for a friend moving on from high school to college, Amy filled a storage basket with some towels, desk essentials like a cute clipboard and notepads and a wall chalkboard to track assignments, and a pretty frame, all useful gifts for someone starting off in a new dorm room or first apartment.
After filling the storage basket with goodies, she wrapped it in cellophane and attached a printable quote {this one found HERE}. It’s a personalized gift that hopefully will start her college days off in a pretty and organized fashion!
