Where did September go?!! We’re suddenly in the midst of full-blown fall here in Virginia, it’s still that sweet time where the weather is refreshing and the cold hasn’t quite set in so we’re making the most of it. Well, in truth today we have a deluge of rain like everyone else on East Coast, so it’s the perfect time to curl up with a mug of tea and shop online, don’t you think? We’ve rounded up a few of our fall favorite things just like we did last year HERE. This time I thought I would focus on some basics you can add to your wardrobe that are perfect for this time of year but will carry you through the winter.

We’ve been sharing some of these finds on our Facebook page {follow us here if you don’t already, we try to share fun deals over there when we see them} and these blanket scarves are just everywhere this Fall. I wore mine constantly last year, it is so warm! These are a great price too.
I keep coming back to these boots, I think they are a perfect classic. I haven’t purchased them yet only because I have a pair of “investment” boots in brown that were costly, so I should really wear those instead 🙂 but if I didn’t, I’d scoop up a pair of these. These in black are definitely under consideration for an everyday boot.
Cargo or military jackets are so ‘in’ right now, the price on this one is great. I love wearing around a jean jacket because it is so cute with a plaid scarf, but since I wear jeans all the time I wind up wearing nothing but denim, fashion fail. I love that these jackets are just as casual but break up the all blue thing 🙂 This is a flash sale site FYI so they may sell out.
I have been eyeing this sweater, it looks warm and I like the unexpected split in the back. It seemed frivolous to order it when it was in the 90’s here a few weeks ago but now that it’s getting colder, I am ready to invest in something classic, warm and comfortable. It would be perfect with a pair of black leggings and boots for a casual outfit.
I have this bag but in the summer combination of gold and cream and I love it. I actually got it from StitchFix as part of a “Fix” {I still love that service by the way, it’s like Christmas when the box comes! You can see my review post HERE} and it was the same price as it is from Nordstrom. It’s the perfect size to carry about town–it even holds my laptop, my daughter’s ballet shoes, snacks, water bottles–so I have all our gear on hand while running around and my phone gets tucked in the small pouch for safe keeping. The cognac reversing to aqua is such a pretty combination, so perfect for fall.
And to wash all of those lovely clothes, this is Christy’s favorite detergent on the face of the earth. It’s pretty pricey, but if you mix it with unscented detergent, it will last longer, and the wonderful scent is absolutely worth every penny!
So what are your favorites for Fall? We’d love to hear, have a great day everyone!

Love all of these. It really doesn’t take much to add some new flair to an already existing wardrobe. Target even had reversible totes that were similar this year! And, love tall the blanket scarfs. Here’s to staying dry!! Gonna be a wet weekend.

Gotta say, not much I like about cooler weather EXCEPT getting to pull out my boots! That sweater is definitely worth looking into and a military jacket would be great. Thanks for jump-starting my morning with a little shopping 🙂
