Today, I’m sharing my current favorite room in our house–my daughter’s. She loves to dance and spends hours every week at the amazing ballet studio she attends, so at Christmas we decorate her room in a Nutcracker ballet theme.

For years her room was pink; the walls may be aqua now (Sherwin-Williams Sea Salt), but there’s still lots of pink around!
and we build a pile of old pointe shoes at the bottom–we have tons of them!

Her collection of ballerina ornaments is from various performances we’ve attended together over the years.
I love her room when it’s lit only by the garland the lights on the tree.
All is calm, all is bright.

My daughter, who is 25 now, danced for 13 years so this sweet room touches my heart. I spent many hours sewing ribbons on to pointe shoes and watching the Nutcracker!!
Yes, my fingers are SO sore right now! We had to get two new pairs sewed up and she wears Gaynor Mindens, which I swear are made of reinforced concrete. 🙂
