Today I wanted to share the outfit that I’ve been pretty much living in for the past two weeks. The sweater is on sale right now, and I think you’re going to want it in every color!
Sweater | Purse | Shoes | Jeans
I was looking for a sweater that was long enough that I could wear it with leggings, and this one is the perfect length (even after washing). It’s only $29.50 right now and comes in five colors in sizes XXS-3X. Right now I have it in the hot pink and gray, but I’m seriously considering buying it in the other colors.
The color is between my image and theirs; I think there are more blue undertones in it than their photo shows. Here’s a better shot:
While I usually pair it with jeans, it also covers my behind when I wear leggings.
I also am showing off my newest purse from Misuri in Florence. We discovered their leather shop when we visited Italy in September. Some of you may remember when I shared the beautiful leather gloves I bought for friends and family for Christmas:
They have a great website and ship worldwide (and tax free to the States!), so if you’re looking for a new bag that not everyone else is going to be carrying, I highly recommend that take a look. For those of you in the US, most gold or platinum credit cards don’t charge a foreign currency transaction fee, just the daily conversion rate, so it’s easy to shop in Euro.
I just checked, and you can still use coupon code MAGNOLIA20 for 20% off your purchase.
I’ve been carrying the very elegant Kelley bag lately (see the full line here), but I also have one of their more casual bags, and my husband has a belt and jacket. The leatherwork is beautiful.
We’re still locked down over here (although my daughter has fortunately started back to full-time in-person school–yay!), so most days I just throw on my current “uniform” while I go about my business and just change my shoes (or slippers) based on what I’m doing.
I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for stopping by!

Cute sweater, unfortunately they don’t have my size. And the purse is lovely but far far out of my budget range for a handbag, or pretty much anything with a covid haircut on my paycheck. It’s a true investment piece. I know you’ll enjoy it for years to come and will have a nice memento from your time overseas. Italy is phenomenal for leather products – I picked up some beautiful bags in Venice for a fraction of the price in the US, which seems to have pretty much turned to plastic faux leather for all moderately priced handbags. I have gotten a couple strictly for their fun style but steer clear entirely for classic items.
Sorry you’re still on lockdown as we’re beginning to reopen again now that Spring is near, even in Manhattan…kind of. But, I decamped from zipped-up-tight NYC to Charleston, SC while we’re in WFH mode as it’s much more relaxed here. Warmer weather, too. I’m glad your daughter gets to go out for classes. I wish you all the best for a reopening soon and hope you can travel around, again, before long.

Hi, Susan–I agree that it’s so hard to find real leather purses in the States right now! And yes, you are right that my bag is indeed an investment piece. They have plenty of bags that are in the 100-200€ range, but I needed one that will pair with dressier outfits and I think this one will do that well, That being said, I currently find my social calendar quite empty (ha!).
Charleston sounds heavenly. We lived in Savannah for two years and enjoyed our time in the low country so much. One of the benefits to working remotely is that you can do it from anywhere, although the “Covid haircut” that you mention doesn’t sound quite as fun. 🙁
Be sure to check back on the sweater later as they often restock; from what I’ve read this is a piece that they bring back from one year to the next and it’s much more budget-friendly!
Take care and thanks so much for the lovely comment–Christy
