Yep, I’m still working on the master bedroom! If you saw my room refresh the other day {here}, then you might have noticed that I didn’t show you this corner. There just wasn’t anything to show because I didn’t have anything on the wall above the dresser and I wasn’t even happy with how things on top of the dresser looked.
Things like that make me frustrated, but then I have to remind myself that we’ve only been in this house for five months (five months, people!) and given that, I’ve actually made tremendous progress!

So, yesterday, when I should have been mopping the floor to get ready for our New Year’s Eve visitors, I decided that I needed to make a gallery wall of botanical prints above the dresser. Immediately.
And since I didn’t want to spend a ton of money and I wanted immediate gratification, I hit Pinterest and found these lovely free printables from Simply Made by Rebecca {here}. She has tons more, but I chose 12 for my wall.
The frames are 8×10’s from Dollar Tree; like I said, I didn’t want to spend a lot.
Check the color on your frames if you buy them there; they have a platinum and a true gold and they are very close in color and often mixed together on the shelves. This is the platinum; I love the true gold but I have a fair amount of silver finishes in here and needed to split the difference.
I pulled the cardboard stand off the back; this helps them to lie flat on the wall.
I have a pretty high-quality printer, so printing the botanicals out on 8.5″ x 11″ photo paper was a snap (I used this paper), but if your printer isn’t very good you can certainly have these printed at the office supply store.
While I did measure and use my laser level, let’s face it, the little hooks on the back of dollar store frames do NOT all line up exactly, so I made about 53 nail holes to hang 12 frames. Don’t judge, that’s why we have spackle!

Below are all the new books that my husband gave me for Christmas, I love them all and the Madame Chic books were so fun to read!
The little blue and white dish is a thrift find and I put my watch in it every night.
Random side note; my husband gave me that Kate Spade watch for my birthday and I adore it so much that I’m going to buy another one in silver when they go on sale again. I’ve been in the habit of just buying a new–cheap–watch whenever the battery dies, but that is so wasteful. So I bought an inexpensive watch repair kit {this one} and now I can change my own batteries (that I buy at the dollar store!), add and replace links in the bracelets, and more. What took me so long?!
The glove mold is vintage; I found it at an antique shop in Savannah a few years ago.
And the lamp–I just adore it, and can you believe it was only $24.99?! They had a similar floor lamp for peanuts, too. Target, baby–direct link here.
