Today’s post is sponsored by Walmart, all opinions are my own.
I have found something fun I wanted to share with you all today–these washable area rugs! If there is one thing that we’ve destroyed over the year between our kids, puppies/dogs and muddy boots it is the rugs in our main kitchen and hallways. I was so excited to give these washable rugs a try, and even more excited by how pretty they are.
I have wanted a rug to brighten up our kitchen (and protect the floors by the sink) ever since we finished it. This one from Walmart Home with pretty fall tones works perfectly in our kitchen. It is not only beautiful but it is affordable too, and the best part is when it gets dirty you can just throw it in the washing machine! It was just what I needed in the space in front of our sink which definitely faces all sorts of drips and spills throughout the day.
I also ordered this “Floral Medallion” one, I wanted try it out and see where I like it best. It is so pretty as soon as I opened it I knew I wanted it front and center in our hallway. It has the prettiest tones of peach, pink and beige with a very vintage feel. It is honestly one of the favorite rugs I have and I plan to reorder it in a larger size for our primary bathroom ASAP.
Here is a close up look at the rugs so you can see the colors in them, they are so pretty. This one is definitely lighter than the other one. I love how they both have that vintage vibe.
It looks so pretty in our front hallway. The colors work perfectly with the adjoining rooms, which makes everything feel cohesive. The sources for this hallway space are below~
Here is a close up look at the runner in my kitchen, again this one, this “Everwash Callaghan Edith Persian” machine washable rug works so nicely for fall. I also figure the darker colors will hide a little bit more wear and tear until I can get it in the wash too.
There are so many patterns and colors available in the washable rugs at Walmart Home (the collection is here), you can see my favorite ones below.
While we are talking about “washing” and floors, I also wanted to share a cleaning machine I am loving that you just might need Santa to bring you this year. Our entire first floor is hardwood, so that can be a lot of mopping of course, that can happen only after it is all vacuumed. When I saw the Tineco wet/dry vacuum cleaner and hard floor washer from Walmart I wanted to give it a try and see if it made this job faster.
Wow, this makes cleaning so fast! It was easy to set up, and my favorite part is that it is cordless so you can clean without stopping to plug it in as you go. It’s also self-propelled, and takes regular tap water so mopping up is fast and easy. After using it in my kitchen and hallway, I realized it will also be great to clean the floors in our bathrooms too.
Anything that saves time and energy and closet space is worth it to me. This definitely is one cleaning tool that saves you from several others (mop, vacuum, steam cleaner). It is so simple to use and set up, it just needs to charge for a few hours prior to using the first time, and it will clean for 22 minutes on a single charge.. You can use it with plain water or the provided cleaning solution for harder stains. It also functions as a cordless vacuum so all in all you get a lot of work out of one gadget! It also has a self-cleaning setting once it’s done so you aren’t dealing with a messy mophead, it is pretty neat! You can purchase one here.
This is so functional, even if you don’t need one for yourself this would make a great gift idea for someone on your list! It is definitely not too early to start shopping this year, and making cleaning easy is probably on most people’s wish list, right?!

Thank you Amy for your washable rug share. I have been wondering who carried them. I will definitely look into these.
