We are almost into December so today while I will share some gift ideas, I didn’t want to skip completely over Thanksgiving. I took these pictures last year, just some quick phone pictures minutes before our guests arrived.
We had eight adults, six teens and a whole bunch of kids last year and looking back at these pictures I admit, I feel a little sad that this year will be so different. We’ll make the best of it though, as we’re all doing in 2020.
If you need Thanksgiving ideas, Christy shared a post on how they are prepping for a smaller group and my post from last year with ideas on What To Wear, Drink & Bring is here. I decided not to write up a post like that for this year since for the most part our celebrations will be smaller but I did go through and update the links so everything is current.
Of course once Thanksgiving is over, we’ll be in full blown holiday mode. If you missed it, be sure to download your free holiday planner HERE. You can print it out, and get completely organized for the holidays.
I also want to say a huge thank you to you all for supporting my online Holiday store. It has been a really fun experience for me, especially the sourcing and staging. I will keep the shop open through the first week in December since all the items are seasonal, but there are a few items still in stock I wanted to mention since they make nice gifts.
I loved these fun cocktail signs. They are so fun for setting up a bar for entertaining or just a festive seasonal display like with my bar cart. These would make a great gift for anyone who loves to entertain or mix up a cocktail. They come as a set of three (you can give them together or break up for individual gifts) and are less than $40 for the set.

There are also a few of these black and white Merry Christmas signs in stock. They are less than $20 each. I have mine displayed on my kitchen shelves but it would also be cute on a hot chocolate bar.
There are still collections of the blue and silver ornaments in stock, they come in a set of three and are beautiful. These jeweled ornaments are probably my very favorite product in the store, I just think they are so pretty.
Shop the Blue + Silver collection HERE.
Many of the ornaments are buy three get 10% off and there is free shipping at $75. Thank you again for supporting my VERY small business!
A few scheduling notes…we will be kicking off will all our Holiday Gift Guides tomorrow. We’ll start with Black Friday (it will be live Thursday so you can prepare!) then move on to our Gift Guides for Women, Men and Small Business over the next few days. Then, next week we’ll be right into our annual Holiday Tour of Homes where we’ll both be sharing our homes all decorated for the holidays.
In conclusion, I just want to say I know that this has been a really hard year for many. Our holiday celebrations may be smaller and our world seems to be a much scarier place than it was a year ago. There have been many days this year where I felt like writing a blog post about decor or fashion or such was being tone deaf to the problems of the world, but we have continued to plug along because it just seems like the right thing to do.
I still believe in finding the joy in everyday, always appreciating the good things we have and most importantly, clinging steadfastly to the idea that God is in control. We are so grateful that many of you continue to show up, leave comments and have offered your kind words of support through all the things 2020 has thrown at us. I know neither Christy nor I ever imagined we’d still be writing blog posts in 2020 like we did Thanksgiving of 2011. You can still download the printable “Give Thanks” cards there, this was one of our earliest blog posts!
In many ways this year more than ever the connection among us all, in finding a sense of normalcy in our shared struggles has made showing up here even more worthwhile. I know I speak for us both when I say we are so grateful for you and we wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration!
