A few weeks ago I hosted a Kick-Off Summer Girl’s Night Out Party. I wanted to get my new neighbors and friends together before summer got in full swing. It was a great night, and even more fun because Terry came down to help me pull it off and put her signature stylish touch on everything.
We started the night with drinks on the porch. I am so happy to say the weather cooperated and I finally got to host an event on my porch!
To start with, we offered the girls Peach Sangria served from a makeshift Bar on the porch. I will be back with the recipe soon as it was a HUGE hit! Everyone seemed to enjoy being outside as the sun set, and I thought one of the particularly fun parts was watching the guests who came from across the lake roll up to the party on their Beach Cruiser bikes. It’s the perfect form of transportation here at the beach!
Inside we had all the food, mostly some dips and my favorite cupcakes. I had my friend Janet, who sells Thirty-one bags have the bags on display, after all everyone can use a new summer bag, right?
{The goodie bags were from HERE }.
The menu was light, some of my favorite easy appetizers and some desserts, including Trader Joe’s macaroons and the delicious cupcakes from HERE.
It was a fun night and great to spend time with new friends and neighbors before we all set off the whirlwind of vacations, camps and activities summer brings.
Thanks for stopping by!

Amy…I have always loved the view from your porch..so beautiful…
I so love “girls night out”…I feel so blessed to have my friends to share many things with….as you have so elegantly done with your party….The tablescape is terrific…love the cupcake stand…Now, may I ask if that is a candle holder?…It’s fantastic…and the peach sangria sounds wonderful!

It sounds like a wonderful time. I think it is funny you had neighbors you hadn’t invited showing up on cruiser bikes. It proves you host great parties.
