I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! We have had a great, but full weekend so far. Today is actually my wedding anniversary and my husband and I are so excited that we’ll be celebrating it watching our son play in a lacrosse championship and then hosting our church middle school youth group for a barbecue. We sure know how to be romantic, don’t we?!! Such is married life {with kids} sometimes right? Actually, my husband and I are hoping to schedule something special hopefully for just us next weekend. This is my son’s first season of lacrosse and his team has totally had a cinderella-story season end, so fingers-crossed they win it all tomorrow–it’s been a very exciting few days for him. I will say that Lacrosse is a whole new world for this soccer mom, for sure 🙂
Moving on…we’ve been out of school for a few weeks now, but I think by now just about everyone is in summer mode, though maybe just a few later-ending school systems are in their last week. A few years ago I made these summer printables below. They have fun suggestions for your summer bucket list and are free, just click HERE to download them. Happy planning, I hope they help you have the best summer ever!
I have been working on my summer reading list. Thanks to my health situation, it is hard for me to focus on things as well as I used to so I am working on reading regularly and for fun again. I used to love to read so it has been hard not having it in my life. I just ordered For The Love because I keep seeing rave reviews from friends on social media. I read Jen Hatmaker’s Seven a few years ago and it completely changed the way I viewed the ‘things’ in my life. I am excited for some relaxed, pool time with Jen’s new book, have you read it yet? If you did I’d love to hear what you thought of it.
Speaking of the pool, my sister-in-law {the one that always gives the BEST gifts!} gave me a Swell Water Bottle for my birthday and it is SO awesome. It keeps water cold for hours and it’s perfect to carry around with you or for pool or beach. They come in super-fun colors too 🙂 I just thought I would share it with you all since it’s currently on my favorite things list. Maybe that is because it was a lifesaver yesterday at an afternoon lacrosse game in 98 degree weather, just saying!
Finally, I will leave you all to enjoy your Sunday with this image below. As you all know our silver lab, Lucy, had puppies six weeks ago. Our little silver bundles of craziness will be moving on to their new homes soon, it has been a wonderful adventure.
I thought I would show you what looks like to take nine puppies to the vet for their shots–it took two laundry baskets, my beach bag and three of us #puppycircus. Trust me if you think this is funny, you should have seen them in the car–that was total, insane madness having them escaping their carriers in the backseat! {No worries, the vet is very short drive and no puppies were harmed in transit 🙂 }. I’ll forever smile remembering this day, I am pretty sure we’ll never have puppies again, but it has really been an amazing experience. We’ve had some busy and stressful times over the last few weeks and coming home to a few minutes with these little girls (and guy) uplifts you like nothing else in the world can.
On that note– have a beautiful Sunday, and may God bless your day friends!
Oh and one final request—if you have a second can you please click HERE and vote for CURE Childhood Cancer to help this organization win a $75,000 grant, we ask in honor of Stephanie, Christy’s amazing cousin, no registration is required and you can vote more than once. It’s for an AWESOME cause! Thank you so much!

Good luck to the boys on their tournament. I hope they win. Great memories for them. Those puppies are just about the cutest. I do know what you mean about the craziness thought, years ago I tried to corral several newborns too. They can be a hand ful.
