Hi, everyone! Welcome to the fifth day of Operation: Organization {Back to School Edition}. Today, we’re thrilled to welcome Megan of Honey We’re Home and Honey We’re Healthy. That’s right, not only does she share her beautiful home with us on her first blog, she also runs a second blog on how to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Clearly, she has to be a master at organization to be so successful, so what better person to contribute to Operation: Organization?!
Here’s Megan:

Can school really be starting tomorrow?! I feel like it’s so early, but I know we’re not the only ones, so it’s good to have y’all to share the mixed feelings with. 🙂 Recently, as we’ve gotten really comfortable with summer, all sense of time and routine has seemed to fly out the window and we find ourselves still in pj’s well past 10 a.m. most days. It’s nice to be able to enjoy those mornings, but it will be good to get back to a regular schedule and start accomplishing more around here.
If there’s one thing I need to help me stick to my routine (and not forget things!), it’s my yearly calendar! Especially this time of year with all the commitments, appointments, and upcoming sporting events that the new school year brings. I keep a calendar of everything on my iPhone and share an online calendar with my husband so we can keep each other in the loop, but I still find having a large printed calendar is best for seeing what’s on the agenda from day to day or week to week.
I found a great, colorful “paint chip” calendar at Paper Source {see it HERE} that goes from August – December, so it’s perfect for back-to-school. It’s got big boxes for writing in your appointments and daily reminders.

I love the idea of seeing many months at a time! Even though I keep track of things on electronically, I still love writing things down where everyone can see them. Cute idea!

Love this idea. Since the girls are no longer home, I have gone to a one month at a time dry erase in our kitchen but would love to be able to see a few months ahead. Now I have to look through my planner to see future dates. Love the pop of color too (is that a new rug I spy?). And, seeing the appointments for your dad…how is he? Been praying for him.

I need to see as many months as possible too. With three kids at home, two businesses, and family I need as much organization as possible. Absolutely love the pretty calendar you chose too. Thanks for a great and easy organization plan.
I’d love if you’d come by and visit my latest organization post for work from home moms http://frenchrobin.com/how-to-stay-on-scheduled-for-the-wahm/

Love the color & yes, I also love your ingenuity of cutting the calendar up to make it fit your needs better. Perfect!
