Amy posted her amazing kitchen transformation on Sunday (see it here if you missed it), as well as a giveaway for the HomeRight FinishMax paint sprayer. If you’re thinking about painting your cabinets, then trust me, you will want a sprayer. I’ve painted cabinets without a sprayer and will never do it again. Enter {here} and good luck!
When I posted my living room and dining room last week, I promised some updated shots of my kitchen since I’ve painted it twice since we moved in. You can see the first paint color here if you’re interested.
The new paint color is Benjamin Moore’s Edgecombe Grey, and it works much better in this space with the antique white cabinets and brown and black granite.
I’ll list some sources under each photo and will try to give a full list at the end of the post, too. As you know, our posts contain affiliate links. If you followed along for all the work I did in my garage entryway, pantry, and mudroom, then the hallway to the right of the fridge leads to that area and my garage door.

This kitchen has some goodies that have spoiled me rotten, including the wine refrigerator and the ice maker. I’m planning to share a little more about the cabinet storage later this week, too, since it’s such a thoughtfully planned out kitchen.

Christy – I see from your pictures that you, like Amy, have a white slipcovered sofa. I asked Amy if she could tell us what it’s like living with white slipcovered sofas. Are yours and Amy’s from Pottery Barn?
Love 11 Magnolia Lane. I start my day my reading what’s new. Almost like opening a gift on Christmas morning!

Christy says
Thanks so much for writing! My sofa is from Pottery Barn, but I don’t think Amy’s is. Mine is over 16 years old, and we’ve had the white slipcovers for 12, if you can believe it! We have two kids and two dogs so I do wash the slipcovers every month or two, but white is easy because you can always throw some bleach in and it’s been so versatile over the years. It’s time for either a new set of slipcovers or a new sofa, but I think I got my money’s worth!

Your kitchen is beautiful and love all of the pretty details and the color you chose! I recently put my utensils in a champagne bucket too! It was so great seeing you again last week!
Christy says
Thanks, Lauren. So very good to see you, too! Enjoy this dreary day!
Erin says
What kind of flooring do you have? I LOVE IT!
Christy says
Thanks so much, Erin! I’m afraid I’m not much help since the flooring was here when we moved in, but it’s dark-stained hardwood (I’m guessing oak).

Absolutely stunning home! I’m actually in the process of designing my dream home and your kitchen is exactly what im wanting. Any chance you know the measurements of your kitchen?
Christy says
Thank you, Robyn! It’s about 16′ x 24′, and while we do have a counter with barstools, that footprint doesn’t contain the kitchen table–it’s in the living room. Hope that helps–Good luck with your house!

I love your cabinets. Did you spray them yourself? If so can you tell me what paint color you used for the cabinets as well as the glaze color.
Thanks so much
Christy says
Thanks so much! Sorry, but they were here when we moved in.

What color is the yellow on your walls? It’s beautiful!
Christy says
Thank you, Tosha! The living room was already this color when we moved in, and I’m not able to find the paint can in the basement. I’m so sorry I can’t be of more help.

I love the white cabinets. This is the next project for my husband and I. How did you do around the edges of the cabinets and what color is it?? I like the distressed look…
Christy says
Hi, Karmon–I wish I could help, but the kitchen cabinets were professionally painted and glazed by previous owners and I don’t have any information on the colors or techniques the craftsman used. The cabinets themselves are off-white or cream with a dark brown edge. I hope that helps a little! Christy
Megan dwyer says
Love the color of your cabinets! Can I ask what color that is? Getting ready to paint mine and can’t find the right shade of cream!
Christy says
Megan–
I wish I could tell you what color they are, but they were here when we moved in. I do know that they were custom painted and glazed, but don’t know any more than that. Sorry I can’t be more help!
