I have been pretty much obsessed with this paint color ever since I visited my brother-in-law’s new beach condo, which they very smartly had painted entirely in Sherwin-Williams ‘Rhinestone’. It’s the perfect light grayish-blue and feels very fresh and clean. In some light it looks gray, but can sometimes seem to be pale blue and still at other times appear almost white.

I am a light blue girl–it’s always been my favorite color. It seems I am always incorporating that color into my decor somehow. I originally bought this color paint for our bedroom, and it was sitting around waiting for my motivation to strike when I changed my mind and decided instead it would be the perfect color for our kitchen and breakfast room.
You see, a few weeks ago Christy came to visit and we had a big DIY project in the works in my kitchen. We’ve slowly been working our way through our New Home, painting and refreshing each room and while the kitchen “overhaul” will soon begin, I’d been waiting to paint the kitchen and breakfast room walls which were still builder ‘cream’. A few days before she arrived, I decided I wanted them painted ASAP considering the walls would be the background for our project {you may have seen it on Instagram and it was already featured online via countryliving.com from our instagram feed– crazy!:) } Luckily, I have a great painter who was agreeable to coming out the next day and knocking the painting out, bless his heart for putting up with my “I need it done today” ways!

The above picture shows our breakfast room and the previously ivory walls, which were a nice neutral backdrop but they were definitely in need of some freshening up. The picture below has the new color on the walls.
The new color makes me feel like spring is just around the corner {a good thing since we still have snow on the ground and frozen conditions here!} and feels so fresh and clean. It’s true what they say, a new coat of paint can make a big difference.

I am very excited to start the kitchen makeover–it may take awhile, I have a ton of cabinets to paint and more than a few projects but I’ll be posting about it along the way. For now, at least painting the walls is forward progress! What do you think–do you have a favorite paint color?
XO,

It looks so bright and fresh! What a great way to start spring!
Beautiful! I’m sure you’re going to love it. Looks clean and refreshing! 🙂

uau… beautiful, such great taste!!
That is a fabulous color….I have to make a trip to the Sherwin Williams store this week and need to check out that color!….Beautiful!
I used Rhinestone in my grand daughters’ room with Trina Turk coral & white trellis-print duvets. Love it! The color adds a little “sparkle” to the alternative of just white.
I saw a tour of Amy’s home and there was a round mirror she got at Target. I brought it up, found it and added to my cart and then my computer cleared and I can’t find it. I brought up mirrors at Target and I can’t find it it originally came up at 39.99. Is there some way that the tour of Amy’s house that led me to the mirror can be found? Thank you. It was a round mirror with small mirror pieces around it.
Hi Chris–sorry for the delay in response! Yes, here is the link to the mirror at Target! http://bit.ly/2biVN9s I hope that helps 🙂 Amy
Hello!
My husband and I recently bought a sample of Rhinestone, as an option to paint the interior of our new home. Does this color appear white at first, and dry to gray? Or require several coats for the gray to come through? We love light gray, and are trying to decide how dark to go so it doesn’t appear too white.
Thank you!
Would you suggest this color for kitchen cabinets??
love the rhinestone color. what color did you use for the white trim?
It is just a standard white trim (off the shelf white). Hope that helps!
Can you tell me about your blinds?!
It looks so beautiful. I Love the color. Can you please send me the number to the paint, Rinhstone.
