Today we have another post with what will hopefully be helpful gift ideas for the friends and family on your list. We decided to switch things up this year and offer ideas by category, so we’ll continue to share different themes over the next few weeks. It is fun to brainstorm topics, and today I am sharing ideas for the “Beauty Lover”. This isn’t really my area of expertise, I mostly stick with a group of long-time favorite products, so I called upon a good friend who is super knowledgeable about the very best beauty products available (thanks Ursula!) so I am sharing her suggestions here today too.
Right now is a great time to shop for gifts from Sephora, as they are having their big pre-holiday promotion. You can get 10% off (or even more if you have a “status” membership) and get free shipping, plus many of the gifts are already on promotion. Use the code “YAYHOLIDAY” for the discount.
The Tatcha Skincare line is the VERY BEST according to my beauty guru. They have several different formulas available and their gift sets are pretty reasonably priced compared to many other skincare lines. I am intrigued to give this brand a try, I promise you that she knows where to find the best stuff 🙂
Her next recommendation was anything from the Sol de Janeiro line which is a nice, natural choice. She had gifted my daughter the lip butter (lucky girl) and my daughter loves it. I thought this hand set at just $25 would be something almost anyone would love to get, but it would be especially nice for a teacher or nurse who might be washing their hands frequently. Though really, aren’t all of us washing our hands constantly these days?!
This lip mask set is popping up all over as a popular gift idea, and that is making me want to try it. It gets rave reviews, I think it’s a fun gift for anyone who likes to try popular and trending products. You could also break the set up as stocking stuffers if you are buying for a group.
I am pretty picky about only using natural products that don’t have a lot of chemicals and a year or so ago I noticed that I wasn’t keeping the same standard with my perfume. I set about to find a natural one I loved and stumbled upon the Skylar line. I ordered the sample set, but by far my personal favorite is the Capri scent. It’s a great everyday light scent that I can wear without feeling like I am overly scented. I found this fragrance when I ordered the discovery set here (just $25) if you want to sample the different scents for yourself.
My daughter has this lighted make up mirror and she loves it, you can even travel with it. It comes in different colors and has several magnifications on the side.
This is one of the top items on my wish list this year. I don’t travel often but still I am overdue to upgrade my luggage. I love that they offer a retro style cosmetic case to match the luggage. I never seem to be able to fit my make up bag in my luggage anyway, so this is a great solution. I don’t love the look of the monogram as they show it (above) but they have other options and this luggage comes in several other color combinations including a preppy navy and white.
A palette offers a fun collection of eye shadow colors for every occasion, the ‘toasted’ colors (above) are perfect for the holidays. For a true make up lover, this boxed collection for less than $50 would make a very fun gift. Another very popular mini make up palette is available here (with free shipping) and it is just $29.
A few years ago I upgraded to T3 hair tools and have been very happy with my purchase. I have thick hair so this dryer saves a ton of time. They are pricey for sure, so they make a nice splurge gift idea. I also have the T3 curling iron and again, it works very fast (and heats up quickly) these are definitely an upgrade from basic hair tools.
Another fun set that gets a lot of raves at this time of year are these Sugar Lip Treatments, they are just $25 shipped and would make a great stocking stuffer or again, a nice teacher gift.
I have shared this before many times but it is one of my very favorite things. It is a small way of making my day better by keeping a few tubes of the L’Occitane Hand Creme around (I keep one in my purse, the kitchen drawer and one in my nightstand!). I usually use the unscented version but it does come in other fragrances and they offer a nice set of seasonal lotions here. It makes my hands feel so soft, and it’s one of my favorite things to gift friends so they can enjoy it too.
Another fun gift which would appeal to women of all ages is a set of nail polish in fun holiday colors (this set is less than $10), and it’s an even nicer gift if you pair it with a manicure set.
Finally, since beauty sleep can make all the difference! I am a sleep mask addict. I find that I sleep so much better when the light in the room is blocked out and these are essential for travel. This one is a true indulgence but would make a lovely gift. You can also find a less expensive version here.
We’ll be back again soon with our next wish list to share, have a lovely day!XO,
