Happy Friday! I haven’t written one of these random round up posts for awhile so instead of the post I had planned for today (which will hopefully run on Sunday), I thought I’d share a bit of what has been going on recently along with a few fun finds.
We had great weather earlier this week here in Virginia which has helped fight the winter blues that tend to lurk around at this dreary time of year. I am keeping busy tackling some projects around the house, we’re strongly considering listing our house this Spring {Christy and I always seem to move at the same time, which certainly makes for interesting blogging content!} so I have a loooonnnnggg list of projects that have to be knocked out before we can be on the market.
I have been working on sprucing up our family room, which seems to be a never-ending project. I ordered this print above, and am checking everyday for the UPS man, I am so excited to see it on the wall, I just love the colors. I also stopped into HomeGoods earlier this week and came home with these beautiful blue and white pillows. They are a bit of different look for my house, but I know that my style is ever-evolving and since we learned in NY that blue is the “HOT” color for Spring, I am all in favor mixing it in with my usual neutrals.
I think this may be the week that I finally tackle pulling all our dirty carpet off our stairs, we have hardwoods underneath them and are hoping they are in good shape. I also added some pretty pictures I found on my HomeGoods run to the stair wall this week, I think they help the space look more finished. I can hear our Realtor saying, “first impressions!”.

I’ll be back Sunday with my long-promised post on Bullet Journaling, I know some of you remember when I mentioned it on Instagram back at the start of the year and have asked about when I’ll post it. Using this technique has taken my list-making up a notch; it has really helped me organize all my thoughts and stick to the goals I set for myself at the beginning of 2017, so if you are interested check back for that on Sunday.
Speaking of goals—like many of you I had some pretty lofty health resolutions this year. Over the last 6 months of 2016, my health started to drastically decline. Stress is detrimental with my chronic health condition, and life threw us some major curveballs in the Fall of last year (no need to bore you with the details, nobody gets through life unscathed, right?) so I have been working on rebuilding since the new year. Since we cover a variety of topics on this blog mainly about the lighter side of life, I don’t want to go too deep on our main page as to all the diet, health and exercise topics I am committing to delving into this spring. I have decided to cover health topics via a new weekly e-mail newsletter. Topics will include health, nutrition, exercise, stress-management, natural beauty, healthy recipes (paleo/gluten-free) and self-care –I promise this is not going to be stories about being sick– it will be ideas and topics to motivate all of us to be healthier–together! Finally, to end on a fun note… I met a friend for a much-needed lunch a few weeks ago and after we played in Nordstrom for awhile. I fell hard for this cold shoulder sweater {which I showed you earlier this week on Instagram}, it is so popular it must have sold out in black since I bought it but they restocked it in PINK-which is perfect for Valentine’s day! I have been a bit leary of the cold-shoulder trend, but this sweater has nice little ruffles that actually provide more coverage and there is something about the way it fits, it hangs just beautifully, which would explain why it got snatched up so fast!

The purse is available HERE, and I know the necklace {the same one Christy wore during our trip to New York} sells out as soon as it is restocked, but if you want one keep trying 🙂 I love mine in pink, it is perfect for Valentine’s day ?. The shoes were purchased locally, but I linked a similar pair.
One more “deal of the day” for you all…I saw this deal via Cyndi and if you need a new pair of running {or let’s be honest, these are great shoes to wear with your athletic/leisure outfits even if you don’t actually go running in them!} these are a super deal! If you have teens, these are Nike and less than $50 shipped, I ordered the blue for spring—perfect to motivate me on my health quest!
That’s all for today! Hope you have a nice weekend everyone!
XO,
Amy
