Friends, it’s nice enough here today in North Carolina that I’m sitting on the back deck with my laptop, just dreaming of spring.
While I know we may have another cold snap (or two) before the warmth is here to stay, I’m happy to get even a taste of warm weather.
After I spent a few hours this afternoon picking up sticks and pine cones in the yard (and dog poop, if you really must know), I decided to have some designing fun and created these Lilly Pulitzer inspired gift tags for us all to enjoy:

She took a Lilly birthday gift (with a Lilly gift tag) to a birthday party yesterday, wearing a Lilly dress. It was like a pink Palm beach explosion! 🙂

Coming up this week, I’ve got photos to share of her daughter’s seventh grade school cotillion (such fun!) and hopefully a few spring updates around the house.
It’s been a week since we lost Sunny dog, and I can’t thank you enough for all of the lovely comments and emails. I think I’ve answered them all; they meant so much to me and my family. A few people shared his story as a way to promote rescue and I love that. The house still seems so quiet and Harley is definitely feeling a bit low as he misses his friend, but we’re giving him lots of love and attention.

Thanks for being with us as we migrated the entire blog (700+ posts from 5+ years!!) to a new server that will hopefully make things load more quickly when you visit us. There were a few glitches but I think we’re through the worst of it.

Christy, I love, love these tags! Thanks so much for sharing them. I’m always looking for new and different items to include with my cards, letters and gifts to my Chemo buddies. Your daughter is adorable! She looks so cute in her Lilly style. At one point, I had 3 dogs and when I lost one, it was so sad to see the others grieve. One of the 2 left got extremely sick and we almost lost her the following week. So nerve wracking! I had to take my boy to the Emergency Vet Hospital early yesterday morning. I won’t repeat what I posted earlier today except to say he is better, thank God!
Hope you have a wonderful week!
