Amazon delivery has become an essential for most of us, even more so in these days of social distancing. Today I wanted to share some of my favorite Amazon purchases from the last few months, these are some things that have helped us manage this time at home, along with a few fun summer items that I thought were worth passing along.
I ordered this cute recipe box after seeing another blogger talk about it. It comes in several colors, and while I didn’t really *need* a new recipe box, it was a great quarantine project to go through my old recipes and discard ones from years ago I knew we would never make. This one comes with cards if you need them, or you can just get the box and fill it with what you have. If you have a recipe collection, especially handwritten family recipes that have been passed down, this is the perfect way to keep them safe. I also recommend that you laminate the ones that are really special to you, I have this inexpensive laminator and it is useful for all sorts of things.
If you don’t already have an Air Fryer I need to share how much we love ours. Not only does it make dinner so much easier and faster, but my kids can safely use this themselves when they want to make something to eat. My teenage boys throw chicken strips in it, and my daughter sometimes makes french fries when her friends come over for a snack. I know they aren’t the most nutritious meals, but at least better than the constant of microwave popcorn or chips. I can’t believe it took us so long to get one, but it is definitely worth the investment. We haven’t gotten creative with recipes in it yet, but plan to branch out soon. Those of you who own one already, anything we must try?
These bags are obviously cheaper at IKEA but if you can’t get to the store, or don’t want to deal with the crowds, I recently ordered a set of these bags from Amazon. I did it because they were the #1 thing recommended in my new parent Facebook group to make moving into a college dorm easier (something my son will be doing next month) but they are great for travel too. They hold a ton, collapse down for storage, and are so inexpensive. We’ll throw all his bedding, linens, pillows etc into these bags to bring in the dorm then he can store them away until he has to pack up. Right now I have them full of beach towels and bed linens for our upcoming beach vacation. They are just something so handy to have around for moving or traveling and you can’t beat the price.
There has been plenty of buzz about the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer, I had to try it out for myself and I can tell you, it is all true! If you have the kind of hair that needs to be pulled out with a brush or if you want more volume, this is the tool to use. It makes drying and styling my hair at the same time simple, instead of drying then straightening as I was doing. I would think it works on all hair types since it gives my hair a ton of lift at the roots if that matters to you. This is a pretty nifty invention!
To go along with the Revlon Dryer, I have shared this before, but this Unite U Oil is my #1 favorite hair product. It is the best anti-humidity tool, you just rub a very small amount in your hair after you dry it and it smooths it all out. It is pricey but a little bit goes a long way! One disclaimer, if you have thin or fine hair this may weigh it down too much, but my thick, naturally curly hair loves it.
This is another quick project that it took the quarantine for me to get around to doing, but what a nice difference it has made. For years my earrings were all in a jewelry box. It had a few compartments but they were still jumbled up together. I ordered this jewelry tray (it sits on a shelf in my closet) and sorted through everything. I gave away all the pairs I no longer wear and now can easily find the ones I am looking for. It is a small thing but really is a much better, and nicer looking system.
One last favorite thing to share with you; hot days call for cool drinks. While this Corkcicle Tumbler is the perfect thing to keep your wine cold, you can also use it for other drinks (like keeping coffee hot). This is just one little thing that makes life easier and a little more fun. Two things that we all need right now!
A few other Friday Favorite type things of note…
Nordstrom is gearing up for their Anniversary Sale next month. Each year over the summer Nordstrom discounts their coming season fall items ahead of time and this sale always is an exciting event. You can peruse the items that will be on sale and start a wish list HERE if you are interested.
Current season items are also already discounted, I really love this striped hoodie! I shared these linen joggers earlier this summer and they are finally on sale, perfect for days when you don’t want to wear shorts. See all sale HERE.
Have a great weekend everyone! If you have any Amazon favorites we should all know about, please share in the comments.

I bought plastic see through storage bins for my college kids. The bags are a great suggestion for some of their stuff. When they move home it’s easy to store their stuff during the summer in stackable storage bins.
