This is such an easy idea. Just start with champagne (I used Barefoot Bubbly; it’s inexpensive but is still yummy) and go from there. One bottle will fill about 8 glasses, by the way. If you would like to serve the kids, too, or just prefer a non-alcoholic version, sparkling grape juice is a wonderful substitute.
I found the cute vintage-style milk jugs at the Container Store, by the way, although I’ve seen similar ones at Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. The chalkboard labels around their necks are from the dollar section at Michael’s.
I also made this cute chalkboard-style printable to tell guests exactly how to mix their yummy cocktails:
I put it in a 5 x 7 frame to make it more elegant. You can download it for free by clicking on this photo:
Be sure to click on “actual size” in your printer dialogue window to print it as a 5x 7. You can also right-click on the photo below, save it, and adjust the size using any photo editing software.
Even though I’m posting this right before Mother’s Day, it would be a wonderful option for any brunch or afternoon event–Easter, New Year’s Day brunch, a bridal or baby shower, a ladies’ luncheon–the possibilities are endless. Terry did a mimosa bar at her 37th birthday party and wrote about it {here}; check it out if you’d like some other ideas.
