That sounds so strange, doesn’t it? He’s 1200 miles away and we’re hoping that we’ll be able to see each other every 4-6 weeks during the next year while we’re living apart, but we’re so fortunate that we can visit each other. If this was a deployment, obviously that wouldn’t be happening!
I know I’ve showed you lots of photos of the MCC House, where the kids and I are living in NC, but today I’m going to show you a few shots of my husband’s place, because I’m really impressed at what a nice job of decorating he’s done with all the random pieces we sent out here with him.
He’s in a two-bedroom, two-bath quadplex (I think it’s actually bigger than the MCC house). It’s two stories so I don’t know if I’d call it an apartment or a townhouse, but it’s a historic building with all the plaster walls, pretty trim, and high ceilings that give a house character.
Since the MCC House doesn’t have a separate dining room, we kept our round kitchen table there…
We’ve got white, pale green, and a teal color in this room, which I never would have picked on the color wheel, but it seems to work.
My husband’s bae (also known as his recliner) has pride of place in the living room.
