Trends in Kitchen & Bath Design From Decor Planet

First, this industrial-style bathroom vanity from Fairmont Designs:

 

I love the fact that this vanity can go industrial (wouldn’t it be great in a boys’ bathroom?) or traditional, and I also really like the shelf underneath.  Extra storage is always a plus!

Moving into the kitchen, I still dearly love the look of a traditional white kitchen.  I’ll be able to show you some photos of our next home soon, but the kitchen is definitely one of the best parts of the house.  There are lanterns similar to this Kichler hanging pendant over the bar area, and they give a beautiful traditional touch.  And yes, you can absolutely use an outdoor lantern, like this one, indoors!

I still love the classic look of bridge-style faucets (see mine in my Nashville kitchen here), and they pair perfectly with farmhouse sinks.  Unfortunately, they can also be incredibly expensive.  This one by Danze is beautiful and affordable.

 

Last but not least, a “serious” range hood makes the kitchen.  I love traditional painted wood hoods, but in Amy’s last house she used a similar stainless steel range hood and it was absolutely beautiful {see it here}, so I added it to my list of eventual must-haves.  Just like bridge faucets, range hoods can be very pricey, but this model by Cavaliere is quite reasonably priced–and it’s gorgeous.
